Artist: Peder Mannerfelt / VTSS / Hadone / Ascion
Title: We Only Want You For Your Body
    Label: KAOS
    Catalogue: KAOS04
    Format: 12 Vinyl
    Genre: Electronic
    Style: Techno, Trance, Acid, EBM
    Release date: January 17, 2020

    Tracklist:
    1. Peder Mannerfelt / OnScreenActor - A1 Peder Mannerfelt - Sissel & Bass (OnScreenActor Remix)
    2. VTSS - A2 VTSS - TRACK FOR HECTOR
    3. Hadone - B1 Hadone - Dying sanity
    4. Ascion - B2 Ascion - Cultural Abuse (Kaos Version)

Belgium Voltage Festival backstage august 2019. For the first time I’ve got the chance to meet one of my fav producers out there, mighty Hadone no surprise he is as honest as his music, full of energy, after making a toilet selfie with him I went to the stage.
Almost legendary already VTSS also played that morning, she was wearing flip flops with socks and although she was not there everybody was talking about her set. I met Martyna in my first visit to Warsaw in 2014 she still keeps a picture of that day (check IG) her tunes are as sick as her pyerogy and I have burnt her 3 records till date. When I saw the track title I had no chance, Driving and tripping technotrance faster than your bike.
Ascion is the first one in making it in Kaos and Oaks, cultural Abuse could be a 1988 protekkno gem or the soundtrack for too fast too furious 50 (year 2108). Dark Acid for that basement you spend most weekends in (fearless Disc-jockey use recommended).
Onscreenactor remix to Peder is a hammering hardcore-influenced technopunk for high ceilings or longer crowds which I want to play ASAP (originally released in Peder Mannerfelt Records digitally only)

We only want you for your body and we are sure you’ll move it to these

    Artist: VTSS
    Title: Identity Process
    Label: REPITCH Recordings

    Genre: Electronic
    Style: Classics, Hardcore, Techno, Dark
    Release date: July 4th, 2019

    Tracklist:
    A1: Bring The Noize
    A2: Code Red
    B1: Sensor 150
    B2: Devil-May-Care

REPITCH Recordings welcomes VTSS to its ranks. The Polish DJ and producer (real name Martyna Maja) being a proud alumni of Warsaw’s Brutaz club night and Jasna1 club (as well as one of Discwoman’s most recent acquisitions), it is no wonder her style overflows with dark energy and tenacious ravey vibes. Her REPITCH debut channels this same ardor into four heavy-hitting bangers that serve as sonic power conductors and ecstatic stamina enhancers. The industrialized pounding of her drum sounds is always accompanied by a taste for reimagining the classic vestiges of techno, rave, and even hardcore: from hoover sounds and sampled vocal refrains to classic Berlin style staccato synth pulses. Her approach is though far from just piling a set of tokenized references, and the raw urgency that fuels her creative energy keeps her production as fresh as her behind-the-decks manifestations.

    Style: Techno
    Release date: July 19, 2019

    Tracklist:
    A1: Vtss - Sober Raving
    A2: Cadency - Eating Steel
    B1: Bjarki & Kuldaboli - Hrái Hötturinn
B2: Kuldaboli Vs. Tekknótæfan - Hefurðu Einhvern Tímann Hugsað Um Það

HELLCAT is a new series from bbbbbb records focusing on club-ready dance floor driven tunes. The first edition, HELLCAT VOL.1 welcomes VTSS and Cadency on the A side, juxtapositioned by the Icelanders Bjarki and Kuldaboli on the B side.

Berlin-based Polish producer, DJ and live act VTSS is a regular at Warsaw-based club Jasna1 and her visceral productions and energetic performances join the dots between hard techno, acid, rave and EBM. ‘Sober Raving’ sees her once again in her finest form with rumbling bass, mean melodies and a cacophony of percussion.

Cadency is the moniker of OAKS and KAOS founder Héctor Oaks. He is one of the most exciting names in today’s thriving techno scene and is a regular at the likes of Berlin’s infamous Herrensauna and Tbilisi’s nightclub institution Bassiani. ‘Eating Steel’ is an example of how twisted Oaks can get, combining reverberating kicks with oscillating atmospherics and murky vocal samples.

Bjarki needs little introduction as the founder of bbbbbb and one of the most versatile electronic music producers and live acts out there, creating high quality techno, electro, IDM and even ambient. Meanwhile, Kuldaboli is another Icelandic electronic music producer based in Berlin who specialises in stone cold electro. Together they team up for ‘Hrái Hötturin’: a fast paced and mesmerising cut with sci-fi stabs and intricate warps before the blistering solo outing from Kuldaboli entitled ‘Hefurðu einhvern tímann hugsað um það’ warps listeners through outer space at 160 bpm.

The Parisian Maxime Iko turns on the energy level on his track In Utero with alienated vocals, powerful beats and encouraging Acidlines. And finally Detroit Technos Rennaissance Man Alan Oldham closes UFOx02 with the haunting vocal Techno number We Need Our Weave (Remix).

To be savoured on the dancefloor or on the battlefield, VII Circle has managed to craft five originals to serve as weapons to their own style. Heavily inspired by industrial scorners, VII Circle now delivers grade-A bombs for the ravey dancefloors.

    Tracklist:
    A1: Up & Down
    A2: I Don't Think It's Better
    B1: Nicetry
    B2: Ununtrium

For the 5th release on their main vinyl series NZ-founded and Berlin-based outfit Haven have enlisted the help of Poland's finest new voice in industrial-tinged techno. VTSS, as the resident of the infamous and daring Brutaz party and Jansa1 club in her hometown of Warsaw, quickly made her name across the continent through her raw and aggressive live shows, energetic DJ sets, and a sound cutting the line between techno, EBM, rave and industrial. Furthermore, in 2018 she participated in the Berlin edition of the seminal Red Bull Music Academy and released her debut EP on SPFDJ's Intrepid Skin, further entrenching her reputation as one of the most exciting artists arising in the genre.

VTSS kicks off the EP with a slamming EBM-techno mashup in Up & Down on the A1, combining heavy kicks, creepy synth-lines and the screaming, atmospheric vocals of collaborator Karolina Bartczak. This genre combination is followed in I Don't Think It's Better on the A2, using its rolling drums and ominous synth-funk to create a defiant dance-floor killer. The B1 starts the flip side with Nicetry - bringing together VTSS' trademark eerie synth ambiance with tight electro drum programming. Finally, Ununtrium closes with a stomping broken-beat, amen-break bruiser that sustains the menacing character of the up-and-comer's second vinyl outing.

    Style: Techno
    Release date:November 22, 2019

    A2: Sprinkle Stardust
    B1: Take It From Me
    B2: Way Back When
    B3: You Look Beautiful
    C1: One-On-One
    C2: Not Your Ordinary
    D1: Fresh Needle
    D2: Moving Molecules
    D3: Pillow Talk

Amsterdam’s Keith Carnal delivers his debut album this November on his new SEC NDo imprint entitled ‘Retrofit’.

Keith Carnal grew up in a musical home in the northern part of Holland, with techno being the first type of music that made a lasting impression on him. After releases on labels such as ARTS and Affin, Keith launched his own SEC NDo imprint in late 2018 to showcase his atmospheric yet sparkling productions which have been held in high esteem throughout the techno scene for many years. After two successful EP’s on the label that picked up support from the likes of Len Faki, Marcel Fengler, Matrixxman and many more, Keith felt that it was time to show what he can do as producer with his debut album being the result:

The album, Retrofit, is a reflection of my inspiration based on the music I grew up with. It especially emphasizes on the neo-noir movies and the music that came with those movies. Think of Blue Velvet, Blade Runner, Twin Peaks, True Romance, etc. But it also is inspired on events that took place in my life, think of weekends without sleep and going to parties in Berlin and here in Amsterdam. Clubs like Trouw, Berghain and the Gashouder that helped me in finding the sound I stand for today. But also from my youth where I’d listen to every kind of genre up my attic bedroom, hours and hours each day. “Retrofit” basically means modernising vintage technology. This term really seemed “fit” for what the labels encompasses. The album includes 10 tracks, which go from instrumental to the more club ready kind of tracks. – Keith.

‘Neo-Noir’ kicks off the album with humming drones balanced with a revolving drum loop and stirring tension before making room for ‘Sprinkle Dust’ that lays focus on wavering 303 sequences, undulant, angelic leads and resonating, chuggy kicks. ‘Take it From Me’ fuses growling modulations with hypnotic pads and shimmering subs that progress throughout until ‘Way Back When’ provides an emotive atmosphere through euphoric synths and alleviating ambience. Melancholy melodies sprinkled with euphoric keys and humming reverberations then provide mesmerizing feelings throughout ‘You Look Beautiful’.

‘One-on-One’ together with ‘Not Your Ordinary’ pick up the energy with effervescent, dancefloor-ready techno cuts featuring vibrant percussion, thrilling oscillations and transcendental sound design. ‘Fresh Needle’ offers up crunchy compositions, sweeping tones and storming synthesis while ‘Moving Molecules’ delivers tender melodic flutters harmoniously balanced with immersive sound design and captivating energy. ‘Pillow Talk’ provides a dramatic finish as the sparse textures, tantalizing harmonics and cinematic swells round off this incredibly enchanting album.

The triple vinyl release features 14 hand-picked contributions from the label’s trusted collaborators alongside cutting-edge artists new to the roster; making this compilation one of the label’s most varied and innovative collections yet.

On The World of Monnom Black II, new artists including VTSS, DIMI (AnD), Vladimir Dubyshkin, Hadone, Fractions, LDS, Aahan and Buried Secrets all throw down tracks which fuse tight machine rhythms with intricate detail. There's also a return for many established label favourites such as UVB, Dax J, Zanias and Thomas P. Heckmann as Knarz.

To round out the compilation there’s a re-release of the timeless 1998 cut, “Devious Methods,” from legendary artist, Hive, and Tellurian’s hardcore classic, “Big Bad City,” gets a new mix from Dax J.

This release further confirms Monnom Black’s reputation for representing raw analogue music and cements the label’s place as the home of some of the roughest and classiest contemporary sounds in techno.

    Jasmine Azarian - Penance UX012

    Artist: Jasmine Azarian
    Title: Egalitarian EP
    Label: User Experience
    Catalogue: UX012
    Format: 12 Vinyl
    Genre: Electronic
    Style: Techno
    Release date: December 1, 2019

Distribution - Triple Vision - Vinyl + Digital
    Mastering - Joe Farr
    Art - Fran Hartnett

    Tracklist:
    A1 - Penance
A2 - Penance (Manni Dee Remix)
    B1 - Retribute
    B2 - Retribute - (Ossian Remix)

Jasmine Azarian caught my ear with a DJ set a while back so I asked her to send some tracks over. The first two she sent were stunning - raw, emotive, warehouse anthems (no Hardwax you may not steal my description). If that doesn't float your mojito we have none other than Manni Dee and Ossian remixing each track just to add a shit ton more sizzle to the party.
