Unlimited Touch by Jay Som. From Turn Into.

    Jay Som:

I'll be posting at least one song a day for the foreseeable future so check back often for more new music.

And for even more music, follow my Spotify playlist Compact Cassette ( I update and change it weekly (a regularly modified rotation).

    Me:

    Lyrics:
    I think I need a break
My head sticks out of place
I need to take a walk
    I'll sleep when morning comes
If I can't breathe under the sheets
I'll be walking over the stars

This fear I hold inside of me
I hide so no one else can see

When I am up I'll sing, I'll dance 'til the sun's up
Hang around with my friends, take us for a ride

I guess we're near the end
I find this hard to begin
    I'll think about what's next
And I'll drown in sorrowful bliss

Unlimited Touch was a New York based post disco group who had some regional fame in the early eighties. The group consisted of Audrey Wheeler, Phil Hamilton, Tony Cintron, Sandy Anderson, Stephanie James and Lenny Underwood. Raymond Reid and William Anderson from New York based band Crown Heights Affair instigated Unlimited Touch in the early '80's, however, they did not form part of the band. Featuring vocalists Audrey Wheeler and Stephanie James, the group was signed to Prelude Records (via Epic Records in the U.K.).

Due to a major management / label and group dispute, they disbanded by the end of 1981. Lenny Underwood co-wrote I Hear Music In The Streets and Searchin' To Find The One which were regional hits in the States. They later released Yes We're Ready, in 1983, and a further single Reach Out (Everlasting Love) in 1984.

In 1999, producer Sean Combs sampled the bass and drum breakdown of I Hear Music In The Streets for the Faith Evans song, All Night Long. Other artists who have sampled I Hear Music In The Streets include Biz Markie and Rampage along with Bille Lawrence.

Featuring vocalists Audrey Wheeler and Stephanie James, the group was signed to Prelude (via Epic in the U.K.).

Here they stirred UK dancefloors with the songs 'I Hear Music in The Streets', in 1980, and 'Searching To Find The One' in 1981.

Due to a major management / label and group dispute, the band went their seperate ways by the end of 1981.

As Prelude records owned the rights to the groups name, the subsequent recordingsdid not contain the hits that made the group famous.

Lenny Underwood co-wrote 'I Hear Music In The Streets' and 'Searchin' To Find The One' which were regional hits in the States.

They later released 'Yes We're Ready', in 1983, and a further single 'Reach Out (Everlasting Love)' in 1984.

A prelude is a short piece of music, the form of which may vary from piece to piece. The prelude can be thought of as a preface. It may stand on its own or introduce another work. While, during the Baroque era, for example, it may have served as an introduction to succeeding movements of a work that were usually longer and more complex, it may also have been a stand alone piece of work during the Romantic era. It generally features a small number of rhythmic and melodic motifs that recur through the piece. Stylistically, the prelude is improvisatory in nature. The prelude can also refer to an overture, particularly to those seen in an opera or an oratorio.
