  • Chicago Transit Authority - Im A Man

    6:37

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The self-described rock and roll band with horns began as a politically charged, sometimes experimental rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, generating several hit ballads. They had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Singer Peter Cetera left the band in 1985 and started a successful solo career.

In 1969 CTA performed I'm a Man live at the Beat Club in Bremen Germany! In 2012 they returned for a live tour.

WCTA needs help. I started this channel when I was homeless and was able to keep it going while I rode the L to my job out in Oak park cleaning toilets. I was released from that job due to covid paranoia, They where scurred I'd bring covid to the church because I use public transportation. I really don't want to be homeless again, seriously. I've been asked if I have a cashapp... I don't. I would rather the folks that love the channel help more than just me that way. I set up a gofundme for the short term, but for the long term, supporting the channel, subscribing and sharing the hell out of it will lift ALL the boats it was designed to help, even after I'm gone. Lyrics:

I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
    She's coming in twelve-thirty flight
Her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say: Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

Here is the channel Gofundme: About

Four young men who grew up on the south side of Chicago poverty neighborhoods. With determination to get away from it all they found music. Established in 2003 they began the establishment of the group known as Remedy. The members consist of Jeremy/ J-Remy, Durell/ Fresh, Cordarius/ Cody, Karon/ kid. These young men have opened up for major artist such as Tank, Bobby V, Dru Hill, Just to name a few. They where in the top 48 on america's got talent. There sound makes people feel good. They bring real r&b back and they call themselves (The Remedy).

Chicago is home of the Blues, and they weren't born on a big fancy stage. Oh no, they where birthed in the fringes, off the beaten path and underground. This Youtube channel is dedicated to that same spirit that is still alive deep under sweet home Chicago. In the catacombs and tunnels you'll hear these free concerts and even be able to talk with the musicians between sets. Guitars are expected, but violas, violins, vibraphones, drums, trumpets, beatboxes, homemade pan flutes, keyboards, saxophones, and a couple of one man bands will entertain you with variety of awesome talents. Some are classically trained, one used to play in the Chicago Symphony orchestra. They play their hearts out hours on end to add life to your commute, some as a job and some just to practice. The voices... oh my, the voices! I have over 500 videos of all the Chicago subway performers at my youtube channel.
