    Lyrics:
    One, two

You better watch what you say
You better watch what you do to me
    Don't get carried away
Girl, if you can do better than me

    Go
    Yeah, go
    But remember

Good love is hard to find
Good love is hard to find
    You got lucky, babe
    You got lucky, babe
    When I found you

You put a hand on my cheek
And then you turned your eyes away
    If you don't feel complete
If I don't take you all of the way

    Then go
    Yeah, go
    But remember

Good love is hard to find
Good love is hard to find
    You got lucky, babe
    You got lucky, babe
    When I found you

    Yeah, go
    Just go
    But remember

Good love is hard to find
Good love is hard to find
    You got lucky, babe
    You got lucky, babe

    Lyrics:
I shoulda known it, I shoulda seen
Leave it to you to treat me mean
Every promise was just a runaround
I shoulda known it, yeah, you're gonna let me down

Well, it's over now, you see
That's the last time you're gonna hurt me

I shoulda known it, hard to believe
It was all right there in front of me
Sold down the river, left for dead
Yeah, you're putting ideas in another man's head

Well, it's over now, you see
That's the last time you're gonna hurt me

Thanks for nothing, yeah, thanks a lot
Go ahead, baby, take all I got

In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, Edge Of Seventeen. More platinum albums followed – ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).

In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.

    Lyrics:
Well poor Tom Jefferson, he loved the little maid out back
Midnight creeping out to the servant's shack
Kept a secret under the bed wrapped in a burlap sack

Well, I drove all day and night out to Jericho
But in my second mind, I knew it was time to go
Yeah and I still get nervous every time that bugle blows

Well she ain't no good for me, but I just can't let go
If I sit here thinking, my thoughts will overflow
And I can't keep from crying, can't keep time from moving slow

Well, it was dark at midnight, there was hardly any moon
And no one really saw much, no one was really sure
But something didn't seem right, no, things seemed kinda queer
A roar turned into whispers, everyone stood there

The sound split the night like hiding from the light
    Like strangers in the night
    (Strangers in the night)

Well, I didn't see no shotgun and I didn't see no knife
But I saw this crazy black guy with a demon in his eye
And I heard him say White man, I've seen that silver cue
You don't remember me, well, I remember you

The sound split the night like hiding from the light
    Like strangers in the night
    (Strangers in the night)

Well, the knife just left his fingers as the black guy took his aim
White guy's head exploded, black guy howled in pain
And then everybody scattered, I heard some woman scream
God damn, you old black bastard, well, you've blown away my dreams

Well, the sound just split the night like hiding from the light
    Like strangers in the night
    (Strangers in the night)
    (Strangers in the night)

    SOMETHIN' FROM A DREAM

    YEAH, I'VE NEVER KNOWN
    NOTHIN' QUITE LIKE THIS

    HONEY, NO-ONE COULD HAVE
    EVER TOLD ME 'BOUT THIS

    I SAID, YEAH-YEAH
    YEAH-YEAH-YEAH-YEAH
    THE WAITIN'

    YOU TAKE IT ON FAITH

    THE WAITIN'

    WELL, YEAH
    I MIGHT HAVE CHASED
    A COUPLE OF WOMEN AROUND

    YEAH, AND THEN THERE WERE
THOSE THAT MADE ME FEEL GOOD
    BUT NEVER AS GOOD
    AS I FEEL RIGHT NOW

    BABY, YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE
    THAT'S EVER KNOWN HOW
    TO MAKE ME WANNA LIVE
    LIKE I WANNA LIVE NOW

    I SAID, YEAH-YEAH
    YEAH-YEAH-YEAH-YEAH
    THE WAITIN'

OH, DON'T LET IT KILL YOU, BABY

    3:47

From 1977. One of Petty's best songs. Dragged this through a bass equaliser to get rid of a somewhat thin sound..
Anyone have any idea what the strangered was about......while Tom obviously sung strangers.....?
Seems like a typo from record company staff , since the D sits next to the S.......????????

  • Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Hometown Blues

    2:17

Track 3 from their self-titled debut album from 1976. What a debut album from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers that included such memorable songs as: American Girl, Breakdown, and Anything That's Rock 'n' Roll. This track though is one that seems to get overlooked sometimes. It is a short song, but is catchy nonetheless. We all know the music scene sure needed a new sound in Rock 'n' Roll since Disco was beginning to dominate the airwaves. Who better but Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to usher in that new sound? The greatest thing about The Heartbreakers though was that their new sound clearly had early Rock 'n' Roll influences. Of course their hits were some of the best from that era, but their lesser known songs were pretty special along the way as well
