  • DigiTech Trio Band Creator Pedal Demo

Check out the newer: DigiTech Trio+ Band Creator with Looper Pedal Demo by Sweetwater

    Get DigiTech products here:

As a guitarist, you spend a fair amount of time alone practicing, writing, and honing your craft - necessary, but not always exciting. What if you had a bassist and drummer that were always available, ready to learn your song the first time you played it, were well-versed in multiple styles of music, started and stopped when you wanted, and played at your tempo? Now you can with the Digitech Trio Band Creator pedal!

More than a static, preset-pattern generator, the Trio is a band creator in a pedal. Plug in your guitar, press the footswitch, and the Trio learns your chords and rhythm by listening to what you play; press the footswitch again and the Trio automatically generates bass and drum parts to match.

The Trio has seven different musical genres to choose from and twelve different musical styles within each genre, selectable via the Genre and Style knobs. The Trio can learn three different song parts; verse, chorus, bridge, for example. All of these features are selectable in during playback, allowing you to “audition” different interpretations of your song. The Alt Time button offers another variation, usually half-time or double-time. The bass and drums have individual Level knobs and there's a Tempo knob to slow-down or speed-up your song.

The Trio's outputs are optimized to sound great whether you're listening through your guitar amp, headphones or a mixer. Two different, appropriate guitar sounds, per genre, can be selected by pushing the GUITARFX button. This enables you to use the Trio with just your guitar, a cable, and a set of headphones.

Here's two more points I thought were worth mentioning:

First, if you press and hold the Trio's footswitch while one part is playing, the next Part button will flash and be cued up, ready to play when the previous Part ends.

Second, when you use both outputs on the Trio at the same time, the Bass and Drums automatically get routed to the Mixer output and your guitar goes to the Guitar output.

Basically, the Trio is your full-time rhythm section in a pedal - thanks for watching!

  • Charles Ives 13. Circus Band by The Lee University Chorale with Jay Poff - Watch Ives 1-14

Containing touches of ragtime syncopations and Ivesian tone clusters, The Circus Band, written in 1894 -- Ives' freshman year at Yale -- is a riotous portrayal of a colorful parade in which the amateur performers get out of step. The song reminds us again of the sense of nostalgia offered in so many of Ives's works.

This song features The Lee University Chorale conducted by Dr. William Green. Accompanists, Bethanie Klob and Michael Land.

  • Commodore 64 boy band song

This is probably our most famous tune, and probably the one most far away from our usual style---which is rock music. This tune is an off the mill boy band song about love to our beloved C64. At one point we figured What c64 tune would be great if interpreted as a boy band song? The answer was Comic Bakery written by Martin Galway.

Today We take a look at the tragic 1991 Concert in Utah involving the band AC/DC after several fans were killed in a stampede.

    FACEBOOK: @RNRTrueStories
    TWITTER: @rocktruestories

    #acdc #brianjohnson #angusyoung

Razor’s edge turned the bands fortunes around and helped them return to their glory years of the late 70’s and early 80’s. Razor’s edge featured the hit songs Thunderstruck and Are You Ready which were top 10 hits and Moneytalks, which peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.[3] The album sold 5 million copies in the US.

To support the album the band went out on a world tour. During a concert in Salt Lake City Utah on January 18 of 1991 three fans were killed and many others injured. Some flat out blamed the band for what happened. Today we explore that tragedy.

The tragic events at Salt Lake City were compared in the press to The Who’s concert at Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati 11 years ago. During that show eleven fans were killed while racing toward general-admission seats as doors to the 18,000-seat coliseum swung open. Following that tragedy some venues banned general admission seating or unassigned seating. The concert was also compared to a similar tragedy that occured at the monsters of rock festival in 1988 where 2 fans died and a 1987 public enemy show in Nashville where 2 fans died as fans left the building.

The deaths at AC/DC’s show grabbed national headlines with some placing blame squarely on the band. So what happened? General admission or non-assigned seating was used at the show in Utah. As the band started their show Fans began pushing toward the stage during the opening number Fans in front of the stage were trampled to the floor and crushed by the press of people. Some were crushed for more than 30 minutes while security guards tried to control the crowd and stop the music.
The security guards at the venue tried to signal to the band to cut stop their show, but it would take minutes for the band to stop the show. The show’s harsh lights and ear- shattering decibel levels obviously make it difficult for performers to see anything that happens beyond the lip of the stage.
On the advice of fire marshals and arena officials, the band resumed the concert after a 15-minute break, during which rescue teams attended victims. The arena officials were concerned if the band cut their show short it could have resulted in a riot meaning more injured or dead. Most fans at the Salt Palace that night were unaware of what had occurred on the floor and might have been turned to violence had the show not continued.
At the end of the night 3 fans were killed. Two 14 year old fans and one 19 year were killed. One fan died the night of the show while several days later the two other fans died.
Less than a month after the incident the band along with their management, the promoters and venue were named in lawsuits filed by the family of the deceased. AC/DC fought the lawsuit trying to get it dropped saying they weren’t responsible for security. According to the LA times one of the fathers filed an 8 million lawsuit . The Father’s suit alleged f “willful, malicious conduct on the part of the defendants.” It wasn’t just the family of the deceased who sued but people who suffered traumatic memories of the event. There would be major settlements reached with the families of the victims and those who suffered tramautic experiences. The details of the settlement weren’t made public but salt lake county claimed their settlement payment was less than 2 million.
Taxpayers pay the premiums on the insurance policy as well as thousands of dollars annually for the maintenance and management of the Salt Palace. Strangely though taxpayers were not affected by the settlement, According to a spokesperson for the county, The settlement won't hike the county's premiums because the county switched insurance companies after the deaths at the Salt Palace.

Several weeks after the awful incident AC/DC was set to play in Miami and the local paper asked the question whether fans attending the show should be worried about their safety.
Concert promoters dispelled the claims saying they don’t use general admission and instead use assigned seating.
Differences of the seating aside the show in Miami added -- About 20 extra security guards, bouncers and ushers were o duty inside and outside the arena in addition to the security force of 80 typically policing the show. City police officers also were also part of the event. In addition to that alcohol sales were banned and fans were screened for weapon and booze.

  • Press Empire - Let Go - Limerick City - The Band Wagon Tv - 22nd Jan 2011

The complete 5 piece formed over the summer recently passed and have recently launched a single which is currently in the Top 20 Irish rock music chart. The band have their second EP coming out in January. The first EP released over the summer was very well received by numerous music journalists (Some reviews can be seen below).

Press Empire are a quintet who flit between influences. On Golden Lies they combine the soaring harmonies we associate with the Beach Boys with the common sense of ELO to come with a catchy, radio-friendly track. I Can Still Remember has a more sombre feel, rattling drums and tight harmonies, topped up with a lush production by Liam Mulvaney. Who You Are is a more balladic offering, with plaintive vocals, a Beatlish arrangement and a lazy feel to perfectly soundtrack a balmy summer's day. This is classy stuff in the quality pop tradition.

    -Jackie Hayden, Hotpress, 25/08/10

When we think of Irish Indie rock music we say Codes,Delorentos.. we can now add Press Empire to that list. Generating enough musical energy from every song and injecting classical music talent into the vein of the sound, this is one band that will stand tall amongst the music scene today. Remember the name Press Empire because they will be a radio favourite for sure. Superb stuff.
    T.Halpin, Music Review Unsigned

Furiously confident, a seemigly endless parade of instruments and vocals that really steal the show.
    - Celina Murphy, Hotpress

Far from treading water in the usual murk of most upstart indie bands, Press Empire opt instead for lush instrumentation and produce vocal harmonies so tight you couldn't fit a one cent coin between them...deserves to be sung by festival crowds
    - The Star, Hot 5 (Essential New Music).

I could wax lyrical about how good Press Empire are, but I'm not going to bore you -listen to the songs -- they speak for themselves -- you'll like them
    - JP, The Ray Foley Show, Today FM.

    Punk Rock University:
With no free use of a Riley Hopkins press and no money we had to get creative and resourceful. Our friends' band told me about a book called How To Print Shirts For Fun and Profit. With the use of that book we learned how to build a press out of wood as well as how to expose photo emulsion, which made creating designs much easier. We set up shop in my Mom's kitchen—used the oven as a curing source and starting cooking... er... printing shirts! We made hundreds of shirts and ran into lots of problems, but made many good memories in the process. Brandon (currently on the Ryonet team) and myself would do most of the printing (drummers are naturally kind of lazy, ha!), but it took our entire band to expose 1 screen (you can only hold two black light fixtures; we needed 6 and had only 1 person to plug them all in). Somehow we got the work done. T-shirts allowed us to promote our band and make money on tour! It was great to be in any given city and see a girl wearing a Not Long After shirt in the mall! Eventually, other bands started asking us to print shirts. Soon, Cobb (a friend from another band) asked me to show him how to make his own t-shirts as well as sell him the materials and supplies he would need to continue on his own. I didn't realize it at the time, but this was the start of something much bigger.

  • Ringo Starr - 2011 All Starr Band Press Conference - Part 5 of 7. With A Little Help From My Friends

With a Little Help from My Friends (originally titled A Little Help from My Friends) is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, released on The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967. The song was written for and sung by Beatles drummer Ringo Starr as the character Billy Shears; it is ranked #304 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performed this song for the first time together at the David Lynch Benefit Concert in the Radio City Music Hall, New York in April 2009.

Lennon and McCartney finished writing this song in mid-March 1967, written specifically as Starr's track for the album. It was briefly called Bad Finger Boogie (later the inspiration for the band name Badfinger), supposedly because Lennon composed the melody on a piano using his middle finger after having hurt his forefinger; but in his 1980 Playboy interview Lennon said: This is Paul, with a little help from me. 'What do you see when you turn out the light/ I can't tell you, but I know it's mine...' is mine.

Lennon and McCartney deliberately wrote a tune with a limited range - except for the last note, which McCartney worked closely with Starr to achieve. Speaking in the Anthology, Starr insisted on changing the first line which originally was What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and throw tomatoes at me? He changed the lyric so that fans would not throw tomatoes at him should he perform it live. (In the early days, after George Harrison made a passing comment that he liked jelly babies, the group was showered with them at all of their live performances.)

The song's composition is unusually well documented as Hunter Davies was present and described the writing process in the Beatles' official biography.

The song is largely in the form of a conversation, in which the other three Beatles sing a question and Starr answers, for example: Would you believe in a love at first sight? / Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time.

The band started recording the song the same day that they posed for the Sgt. Pepper album cover (30 March 1967). The session finished at 7:30 the following morning.

  • Ringo Starr - 2011 All Starr Band Press Conference - Part 3 of 7. Free Ride

Free Ride is a song written by Dan Hartman and performed by the The Edgar Winter Group. The single, engineered by Jim Reeves, was a top 20 U.S. hit in 1973. The song is featured in the movies Air America, Dazed and Confused, Jack Frost, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Days of Thunder and in the video games Prey and Cars. It is also used in the trailer for College Road Trip, as well as the trailer for the 2009 film The Damned United. It was covered by R&B group Tavares on their 1975 album In the City, and Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline (1995). Hartman himself covered the song later in his career. Hartman's cover as a solo artist appear in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. The song is sometimes mistakenly attributed to the Doobie Brothers, perhaps because of the similarity in its style to their works.

The 45 version is a different recording than the LP version, but both versions clock in at 3:08.

You can download our album for free (!) at ‪ !!! If you want to support us as a band, you can order a hard copy of the album of which we will ship anywhere in the world! :D (mail us at ) Unfortunately, we have not yet received the hard copies ourselves, but as soon as we do, we will let you know about pricing and stuff ;)

101010 is now available at iTunes and Amazonmp3! :D (It will also be up on Spotify within a couple of weeks)! To tell you the truth, we still prefer if you buy our album straight from us when we get them back from printing, which should be in about two weeks! :) But if you feel more confident in the digital world then you can get them here!:

Check our first review of the album at:

This is without a doubt the shortest song we have on the album, but it is one short hard ass motherfucker!! ;D It's also really complex with different time signatures and stuff so just because it's short doesn't make it easy at all x) It was actually one of the more difficult songs that I learned for this album :P

The second part of the song was recorded live in the studio and most of it was improvised so I did the same in this video :) since I'm not sure what it was that I played during the recording I can't really play it exactly the same again, so that's why it's not exact^^

No I did not actually drink and I was not drunk xD you know how I like to act out ;) with that in mind, consider watching the video with headphones, the sound is about 10000,8 % better with them :D

    Alright folks, enjoy ;)

  • AC/DC How the Band Almost Fell Apart With Brian Johnsons Health Issues & Released Power Up!

    Malcolm Young Video

How AC/DC almost fell apart and persevered to release this year's Power Up Album.

    #acdc #powerup #brianjohnson

The recording and tour for the AC/DC’s 2014 record Rock Or Bust was a difficult one for the band. By the time the AC/DC was done the tour to promote the album, they had lost 3 members including drummer Phil Rudd vocalist Brian Johnson and bassist Cliff Williams. These problems almost culminated in AC/DC ending their career prematurely.

However, adversity is something AC/DC is no stranger to. They’ve suffered tragedy and went throughdifficult times throughout their history and they always bounce back stronger. How did they overcome these tough times and put out a new album this week titled “Power Up. Stay tuned to find out.

The last decade has been difficult for AC/DC. Members have come and gone starting with 2008’s Black Ice album. And the tour to support the album, would be founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young last stint with the band as he had been diagnosed with dementia and would have to step away from his duties following the conclusion of the Black Ice tour in 2010. I have a whole video on Malcolm Young’s final years with the band below. He would be replaced by his nephew Stevie Young who previously replaced him once before. The band wouldn’t reassemble until a few years later to record their follow up a;lbum 2014’s Rock Or Bust. Cracks were already starting to show by in the recording studio. Guitarist and founding member Angus Young would reveal to the Guardian in 2014 how lngtime drummer Phil Rudd wasn’t himself at the time time saying “Well, we had a few problems. We had a few issues before with him, even when we were recording it was hard even to get to him to do the recording. He'd go on to say
“And then he was supposed to show up to do promos with us, to do video shoots and a few shoots and a few other things, and he never showed up for that either. Angus would say.

A month before Rock Or Bust was set to be released, the band would be in the news, but it wasn’t the media attention they wanted, it was revealed that drummer Phil Rudd was arrested and charged with attempting to procure a murder, threatening to kill, and possession of drugs, following a police raid on his home in New Zealand.
The charge of attempting to procure a murder was dropped the following day and on On April 21, 2015 he pleaded guilty to the remaining charges and was sentenced to house arrest and ordered to pay $120K in restitution. His legal problems would throw AC/DC’s tour to support Rock or Bust into a tailspin. A lot of AC/DC’s press interviews to promote the album had them discussing Rudd’s personal problems with Young telling an interviewer He's got to sort himself out I think... At this point it's kind of a question mark. But if we're touring, there will be a drummer in place, put it that way. Phil created his own situation. It's a hard thing to say about the guy. He's a great drummer, and he's done a lot of stuff for us. But he seems to have let himself go. He's not the Phil we've known from the past. Rudd would be replaced with drummer Chris Slade who had previously played with the band from 1989 to 1994.
Once the band was on the road, the initial set of shows went reasonably well , but with 22 shows left on the Rock or Bust tour, vocalist Brian Johnson was suffering from hearing issues forcing him to drop out of the tour or risk permanent hearing damage. There were conflicting news reports at the time over whether Brian was out of the band and some even criticized the group over how Brian was treated. In fact the whole thing blew up when Johnson’s friend and comedian Jim Breuer told listeners on his podcast that he had visited Johnson at home in Sarasota, Florida, and found his friend and i quote “really depressed”, dismayed and disappointed that the decision to announce his retirement had effectively been made for him. The comedian said “Brian said that he called and let AC/DC and Angus Young know, ‘Hey, this is what the doctor said, but let’s try to figure this out. I don’t think it’s as bad as he said it is.’ Literally the next day in the press, it was ‘Brian Johnson, tour cancelled, he’s losing his hearing Breuer would say.
As the comedians comments began getting picked up by news sites many places seemed to echo the sentiment that Brian Johnson was kicked to the curb by the band. Breuer would walk back his comments and claimed he exaggerated a very intimate and private conversation” with his friend claiming
