    --------------------

This week i assembled the most gorgeous machined Aluminium Bearing Housings Made by Alexcnc from the MMX Team.
They are adjustable for the Depthing of the gears. We are also implementing the new PBS - Product Breakdown System for the Whole MMX. Chris, the new project manager has introduced me to the sacred lands of Excel heaven and although there is a lot of initial work we have to do to make this function properly, the long term efficiency will improve a lot! We are taking the MMX from being a one off DIY maker project to being a scalable, fully fledged - ready to build for any competent group of people - machine. Its really great!

Enjoy and have a great day!

  • Marble Conveyor Belt Completed! - Marble Machine X #78

    7:30

The Marble Conveyor Belt is Completed and it delivers Perfectly.
    - lifts 8 marbles per crank turn.
    - thanks to it being driven by ratchets and pistons, it makes a short halt to load and unload the marbles, on exactly the same spot every time.
    - The pistons are connected to the crank shaft with a 2:1 gear reduction which means that the conveyor belt go in time with the music, and in half time. I can even use the mechanical sounds from the ratchets and the marbles climbing the fish stair to create parts of the beats.
    - I only had one kick drum channel up and running so the kick drum plays on 2-4 like a snare normally would. Sounds a little strange but I just made this piece of music to demonstrate the concepts are working. (no music you hear in the videos are going to be used for the album, its quick and dirty functional pieces for the videos only)
    - Its been a journey but we are now on our way. Again.
    - the throw of the pistons s 40mm, the pitch of the chain is 15,875x2 mm, an imperial value, and it happens to be exactly twice the marble diameter. All this makes it possible to lift exactly one row of marbles per crank turn. The ratchets move 40 mm but only grabs onto the chain to move it exactly 31,75mm per crank turn.
The carriers are flame polished cnc:ed acrylic
    - The chain was custom made in Japan and I waited 5 months for it to be delivered. haha. Of all the time consuming darlings on the MMX I love the conveyor belt /fish stair combo the most.
    - the marbles looks like they are stuck over the demagnetiser wheel, this is by design, as soon new marbles come into the pipes from below, the marbles are slowly pushed over the demag wheel which ensures perfect demagnetisation.

    - thanks for watching and believing in the project, good luck with everything that you are doing!

    Martin

It speaks of a timeless problem of teenage misunderstanding: That is how singer-guitarist-songwriter Sean Bonniwell of the Music Machine described the Los Angeles band's 1966 single Talk Talk. It was a pith worthy of the record itself, 1:57 of proto-punk severity that peaked at Number 15 in Billboard and went even higher in some markets, going Top Ten in L.A. In Talk Talk, Bonniwell and his original lineup of the Music Machine – lead guitarist Mark Landon, organist Doug Rhodes, bassist Keith Olsen and drummer Ron Edgar – created a breathlessly compact garage rock: hog-snort guitar distortion, machine-gun drumming and growling paranoid despair, shaved and hardened with geometric precision. – Rolling Stone

“Some songs, like the Pistols' Anarchy in the U.K. and the Who's Leeds version of My Generation, just make you say, what the fuck was that? the first time you hear them. Sean Bonniwell's Talk Talk, from this L.A. band's debut, is one of those songs. These guys come off as total nutters at times. Like on a cover of Neil Diamond's Cherry, Cherry, or a version of the Beatles' Taxman that sounds like the original has been forced to take Valium and then get stomped on by a group of nascent L.A. art punks.” - Rolling Stone – 10 Wild LPs From Garage Rock’s Greatest Year

THE MUSIC MACHINE - HEY JOE
ALBUM (Turn On) The Music Machine (1966)
The Music Machine (1965–1969) was an American garage rock and psychedelic (sometimes referred to as garage punk) band from the late 1960s, headed by singer-songwriter Sean Bonniwell and based in Los Angeles. The band sound was often defined by fuzzy guitars and a Farfisa organ. Their original look consisted of all-black clothing, (dyed) black moptop hairstyles and a single black glove. The group came together as The Ragamuffins in 1965, but became The Music Machine in 1966. In addition to Bonniwell, the original line-up consisted of Ron Edgar (drums), Mark Landon (guitar), Keith Olsen (bass), and Doug Rhodes (organ).

It isn't the flowers that grow up in the sun.
It isn't the hour we spend just having fun.
Ah it's not the music and all the songs we've sung.
No the greatest thing of all is LOVE.

    CHORUS
Love is better than the rest,
    It's better than success,
    And all that you possess.
Love is better than the best,
The greatest thing of all is Love

    It isn't the friends here
    Although they are very nice
    It isn't Agapeland
    Though it's like paradise
    It isn't the animals
    But they have some advice
O the Greatest thing is love

    CHORUS

    Colossal,
    Incredible,
    Remarkable,
    Phenomenal,
    Amazing,
    Excellent,
    Astounding,
    Magnificent,
    Wondrous,
    Stupendous,
    Marvelous,
    Magnanimous,
    Anonymous,
    hippotomus,
    magopolus,
    For all of us,
From the top to the bottomous,
    The greatest thing is love!!!!

    CHORUS (X 2)

  • THE MUSIC MACHINE - THE PEOPLE IN ME

    2:55

THE MUSIC MACHINE - THE PEOPLE IN ME
ALBUM (Turn On) The Music Machine (1966)
    Hey, Halright

    Sometimes dreamin'
I'm in here schemin' on you

    Collectin' headers
    With nothin' better to do

    Memory is everywhere
Love and you is in my hair
    And eyes
Maybe with the time and place
A look will come upon your face
    Of surprise.

When you see the people in me
Minus you what will you do

When you see the people in me
    Minus you it's overdue

    While I'm cryin
    I'm rectifyin' the cause
    Friends are cheerin'
    And I'm hearin' applause

The train is here you better run
Don't call me I'll never come
    Unto you
They're over now the games you play
Just what you'll do, just what you'll say
    Uh oh you

    — Middle —

    Memory is everywhere
Love and you is in my hair
    And eyes
Maybe with the time and place
A look will come upon your face
    Of surprise.

When you see the people in me
Minus you what will you do

When you see the people in me
    Minus you it's overdue

    Hut, Halright

  • 3d Ball Music Machine Completed Version

  • Patience - Music Machine: The Fruit of the Spirit

    2:37

Remember this? PATIENCE (HERBERT THE SNAIL) LYRICS

There was a snail called Herbert who was so very slow
He caused a lot of traffic jams wherever he would go
The ants were always getting mad and the beetles,
    they would fume
But Herb would always poke along and sing this little tune

    Chorus:
    Have patience, have patience
Don't be in such a hurry
When you get impatient, you only start to worry
Remember, remember that God is patient, too
And think of all the times when others have to wait for you

When Herbert was much younger, he often got in trouble
Forgetting that he was a snail, he did things on the double
He'd crash through every spider web and with crickets he'd collide
'Til one day Herbert's father took his speeding son aside

    Chorus

As you can well imagine, there's a moral to this tale
Some of you may find yourselves behind a creeping snail
So if you get impatient and you're easily disturbed
Think about this little song and take a tip from Herb

    Chorus

This has been requested by you in the comments so here it is! I Made this music production and video on one single day, in one session, so it is a little or a lot rough in the edges in some places! I dont mean to talk it down or fish for you to contradict me but i want you all to know that there is a difference between the music i make for youtube videos like these on one day and the real upcoming music releases, where i will work for months on the songs :). Just wanted to say that, enjoy!!
Italo disco inspired! All the Starry skiess are filmed Outside my house in France, My favourite is the purple one in the beginning and end with the Milky Way clearly showing, Wintergatan means the Milky way in Swedish.

hey joe - MUSIC MACHINE (us) ORIG version

album:: Music Machine - Turn On (The Music Machine) 1966 (Repertoire)

This group fronted by Sean Bonniwell was one of the most gritty and serious of the exploding 60's garage punk scene. No lame covers like other groups at the time were doing:
The Standells, The Leaves, etc. Here the group dressed in matching black clothes and wore ONE leather black glove each. Baby Michael Jackson knew nothing of them. They took their debut single Talk Talk as far as they could. A quick blast of self-mocking and anger. Many years later revived by huge fan ALICE COOPER on his Flush The Fashion lp. The group toured around and showed up on American Bandstand. Dick Clark of course was obsessed with their one glove look.

Their debut lp came out on the tiny Original Sounds label in 1966. It featured a rougher sound than say, LOVE. Masculine Intuition could possibily be their finest moment. Basic playing and great production should have made them big.
The group broke up and Sean found new members for the second and last lp. By that time Sean was the self-proclaimed star of the band, alone on the cover riding a homemade contraption. No band photo on the reverse. After that doomed sophomore jinx, Sean became a Born-Again Xian
extrordinare. Recording a solo lp and starting a boring Christian rock group, HEAVEN SENT. After he heard ALICE COOPER's version of Talk Talk, he redid it himself but this time age made him more tame
