  • VCV Rack Morning Dreamlight

    6:10

Not your typical modular piece. A repeating patch that wasn't working so I slowed it down considerably and this was the result. It has some interesting moments. WARNING: do not watch while operating heavy machinery...

a Submission for Omri Cohen's Vult Giveaway for Día de los Muertos

This patch is using only the Vult-Free modules, one Plateau reverb & a couple of JW control modules. Caudal is the main driver of the sound,. creating rhythmic evolving changes all over the patch.

  • Nightfall - VCV Rack

    5:42

This is similar to the Bunjil's Journey - Dusk patch. However it uses the Valhalla Shimmer VST for reverb. There is a little modulation of Shimmer's feedback and diffusion.

  • Spatial Movement - Panning VST in VCV Rack

    7:03

This patch is a demonstration of Surround Pan VST by Sonic Anomaly. The VST is designed for 5.1 surround processing, however VCV Rack's VST Host-FX only supports two channels. Nevertheless, it can still be a useful tool to add spatial movement to a patch. I have added Surround Pan to my earlier Moving patch that showed modulation of a parametric equaliser.

  • Seqs party wubbawubba

    3:50

VCV Rack virtual Modular synth patch. This is a sequencer fest, 3 running at 8,7 & 6 steps, 8 separate sequence lines running out into 5 sound generators, Seq-2 switches feeding in and out the different voicing as the melodies intertwine. Did someone say wine?
Fabulous rubbery wubbawubba bass courtesy of XFX wave gen and XFX filter F-35. They are so great :)

  • Frippertronics with the Valhalla Delay Plugin. YES.

    5:30

The Valhalla Delay plugin might just be my favorite plugin for recording frippertronics style decaying loop pieces. This ambient guitar performance relies on tape style delay with some offset and width to create a smooth flowing transition from note to note. Hope you enjoy!

  • VCV Rack Composition - Hazayot

    8:30

This is the fourth track of Divisions, an album made only with VCV Rack. Here is the full album -

On Itunes, Spotify, and more -

This composition, and the whole album actually, was created in VCV Rack, and was inspired by Stages from Mutable Instruments. I fell in love with this module as a sequencer, and this album is a sort of a love letter to this module.

  • VCV Rack Explorations 004

    10:12

No Talking. Running through a patch I'm working on.

Keyframer/Mixer is controlling 4 synth VCAs levels on the main mscHack mixer in the top left of the patch.

Each synth is receiving a sequence from Entropia that has been attenuated and quantized to scale.

The Quantum/quantizers each get a transpose message from the Sequential Switch 2 ( thank you Omri Cohen).

Drums are played by hand on the 2 Big Button Seqs with a fast clock. I have an A/B switch setup on the Flows for different kick or snare patterns.

The Flow also control drum mutes and Keyframe modulation mutes.

  • VCV Rack & Neutron - Macro

    10:44

What is a better way of celebrating the release of a new module of the Geodesics collection, than to compose something with it... So I used Entropia to control Monark from NI (via VCV Host), and I've added also Plaits to the mix (and a few other modules...). I also programmed a sequence on the BeatStep Pro, controlling the Neutron, but also outputting its second sequence, which is on random, to modulate a few parameters of the Neutron. With the Midilar I control a few parameters in VCV Rack like the filter's cutoff point of Monark, the level of the various modules, and so on. One thing is for sure, I need a bigger table...

Here it is on Spotify, iTunes and such -

  • Rewind & Shimmer | VCV Rack Generative Ambient Patch by Almanacs

    3:25

    More of my music:

    --
Generative ambient patch using Erica Synths's Wavetable VCO and MI Plaits as main voices. The dBiz mixer gives me a perfect control to send/return these voices to the Valley Plateau and Chonoblob to post-process effects. The T-Wrex is after the Plateau adding some bitcrush.

Everything being controlled with a Novation LaunchControl XL and recorded with the REC module of VCV Rack.

EQ and compression added in post with Adobe Premiere.
    Footage with Xiaomi Note 4.

  • VCV Rack Patreon Live Stream - Alright Devices

    1:5:18

This Patreon Live Stream was all about the modules from Alright Devices, T-Wrex and Chronoblob2. T-Wrex is a beautiful bitcrusher and decimator (sample rate reduction), and Chronoblob2 is a mesmerizing delay effect with 4 different modes, an infinite loop function, and send and return for processing the sound even further.

  • VCV Rack 014 // Pulse Shift Matrix Register

    35:31

The melodic voltage is a s&h blending with some attenuated rampage whips before running into one Quantum that is transpose by a slow clocked sequential switch 2. The voltage then runs into a second Quantum to bring it into a final 'key'. It then runs into a shift register triggered by the 4 melodic voices of the pulse matrix.

In this video I add another voice and introduce randomization after jamming for a while.
