Testing NEW ValhallaDelay with synth in VCV Rack

    10:43

This is amazing delay and I think that's all I should say. There are so many characters, saturation, diffusion (reverb), pitch shifter, frequency shifter, reversed pitched delay, BBD, tape...oh, really . But they are all sound great!
Just look how it processed Mutable Plaits with minimalistic sequence from bidoo dTroy.

Testing updated Free TAL Reverb 4 VST in VCV Rack

    6:00

Here is my no talking demo of new update version TAL Reverb 4. I tested it using VCV Rack Host-FX paid module.
TAL-Reverb-4 is a high quality plate reverb with a vintage ’80s character, offering a modulated vintage reverb sound with a very diffuse sound.
The update comes with improved sound and access to additional parameters. New 12dB filters are available in the EQ section.
TAL-Reverb-4 is a free download in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats.

Mood | Modal Synthesis exploration in VCV Rack

    5:29

    Solo trato de aprender...

El patch es bastante simple: Una ráfaga corta de ruido blanco va hacia cuatro filtros paralelos en modo de bandpass y de ahí a los efectos (distorción, un filtro LP, reverb y delay).

    =====================

    I'm just trying to learn...

The patch is fairly simple: A short burst of white noise goes to four paralel resonant bandpass filters, from there goes effects, like distortion, a LP filter, reverb and delay.

VCV Rack 014 // Pulse Shift Matrix Register

    35:31

The melodic voltage is a s&h blending with some attenuated rampage whips before running into one Quantum that is transpose by a slow clocked sequential switch 2. The voltage then runs into a second Quantum to bring it into a final 'key'. It then runs into a shift register triggered by the 4 melodic voices of the pulse matrix.

In this video I add another voice and introduce randomization after jamming for a while.

VCV Rack - Falling Stars // Ambient

    8:07

My entry for the Geodesics gold edition challenge. You can find info here:

I was inspired by two of the cheats, so I deleted everything except the forbidden module, added 2 of every geodesics modules and 3 entropias (in addition to the forbidden one) running at audio rates. Together with a bunch of other modules, it became my largest patch yet (my poor CPU).

As always, I enjoy playing live, so the patch is being modulated by 10 knobs and 6 pads on my Arturia Minilab MKII midi keyboard. I also used that to play the lead synth.

    Everything is recorded live.

    VCV Rack & Neutron & O Coast - Largo

    8:36

So this time, I sat first at the piano and wrote a short chord progression. I then programmed it in VCV Rack with using Foundry from Impromptu, and started adding voices and textures. I've used 4 Cosmic Oscillators as you can see on the screen, but each one of them has actually two oscillators, so, all in all, there are 8 different voices for the chords. On the BeatStep Pro, I programmed 2 sequences. One is sequencing the Neutron, and the other one is sequencing another voice in VCV Rack. The KeyStep is sequencing the O Coast, and I also transpose this sequence when needed.
The O Coast is sending its random voltage to a few destinations through a splitter, and one of them is the cutoff point of the Neutrons' filter. With the Midilar controller, I control a few parameters in VCV Rack like distortion, cutoff point, and levels.

Floats for VCV Rack - Make Noise Maths Emulation

    13:01

Here it is - one of the best envelope generator for VCV Rack! Top notch emulation of famous Make Noise Maths hardware will improve your patches like a shot. In this video I'm doing some comparison it with Befaco Rampage and showing my favorite using of this module.
From the Floats page: Floats is a module that can become anything with creative patching, but its three main uses are as an envelope, LFO, and audio rate oscillator. As an audio rate oscillator, Floats is antialiased through the whole audio range resulting in a stable and warm timbre. As an LFO, Floats can reach times as low as 8.5 hours per cycle! Floats can also be used as a mixer, logic comparator, clock source, envelope follower, low pass gate, complex oscillator, and gate delay.

VCV Rack & Neutron - Macro

    10:44

What is a better way of celebrating the release of a new module of the Geodesics collection, than to compose something with it... So I used Entropia to control Monark from NI (via VCV Host), and I've added also Plaits to the mix (and a few other modules...). I also programmed a sequence on the BeatStep Pro, controlling the Neutron, but also outputting its second sequence, which is on random, to modulate a few parameters of the Neutron. With the Midilar I control a few parameters in VCV Rack like the filter's cutoff point of Monark, the level of the various modules, and so on. One thing is for sure, I need a bigger table...

    TrigSeq Test

    9:01

Here I run the AutomaticWiggler patch to test the pattern select voltage range of the TrigSeq sequence. Being able to select patterns via a CV voltage would be pretty tasty. This is the raw test footage that I used to create the protocol video comming later. I figured some of you curious types might want to verify the test I used to get the data I then use later. You can see its pretty straight forward you just wait for the pattern to tick over to a new value pause the video and check the voltage reading on debug. You then do that 64 times. And you can be fairly certain as long as you pic a value between the limits tested you are going to hit that pattern voltage range.

BrainWave Experiment - VCV Rack experiment no#3

    12:30

    Hello Rackerz.
This time I present my little experiment with brainwave modulation.
I am not convinced that I am doing the right thing. If not, please let someone correct me. It is clear from my calculations indicate that the oscillation frequency setting between channels 1 and 4 of the mixer (sorry just happened same) is finally 8Hz. The main clock is 160 bpm - ok multiplied by 3 gives us 480 bpm (good?) Divided by 60 seconds (that's a minute) gives 8 hertz (or 8bps?). According to the definition, Hertz is a unit of cycles per second. Is that correc? I found free vst plugin Convology XT
    You can find it here:

So that's it, thanks for watching this video, don't forget click the ok button if you like this. Or if want see more you can subscribe my channel. See You in my next movie.

VCV Rack / Walk / Semi-generative patch jam / Synthikat

    8:18

    Walk.

Some walk together... some walk alone.
But u should never let you stop!

    Walk.

In this patch i used 2 Quadsimpler from NYSTHI to play some piano chords. I send them into 3 texture synthesizers. 1 is doing some reverb/granular movements one is in pitchshift setting and pitched up about 4 semitones and one is in delay setting. Then i modulatet the Quadsimpler FM input to get some tiny vibrato after the beginning of the sample. Trummor2 is used for the kick and noise perc. Tiny sine + spank is used to make the snare. The glichy percussion is coming from the macro oscillator going thru spank and the resonator.
