Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen

    5:29

    Lyrics:

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Whoo... whoo... whoo...
Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

    And the days go by...
Like a strand in the wind...
In the web that is my own...
    I begin again
    Said to my friend, baby...
    Nothin' else mattered

He was no more... than a baby then
    Well he... seemed broken hearted...
    Something within him
But the moment... that I first laid...
    Eyes... on... him... all alone...
    On the edge of... seventeen

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    ooo baby... ooo... said ooo...
Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

I went today... maybe I will go again...
    Tomorrow
And the music there it was hauntingly...
    Familiar
    And I see you doing...
What I try to do for me
With the words from a poet...
And the voice from a choir
And a melody... nothing else mattered

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    ooo baby... ooo... said ooo
Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

    The clouds... never expect it...
    When it rains
    But the sea changes colours...
    But the sea...
    Does not change
And so... with the slow... graceful flow...
    Of age
I went forth... with an age old...
    Desire... to please
    On the edge of... seventeen

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo
Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

    Well then suddenly...
There was no one... left standing
    In the hall... yeah yeah...
    In a flood of tears
That no one really ever heard fall at all
Oh I went searchin' for an answer...
Up the stairs... and down the hall
    Not to find an answer...
    Just to hear the call
    Of a nightbird... singing...
    Come away... come away...

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo... baby ooo... said ooo
Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo... baby ooo... said ooo

Well I hear you in the morning...
    And I hear you...
    At nightfall...
    Sometime to be near you...
Is to be unable... to hear you...
    My love...
I'm a few years older than you...

Just like the white winged dove...
    Sings a song...
    Sounds like she's singing...
    Ooo baby... ooo... said ooo

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams with lyrics

    4:14

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams from 1977 with lyrics below

    LYRICS:

    Now here you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it

But listen carefully to the sound
    Of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
    In the stillness of remembering
    What you had
    And what you lost...
    And what you had...
    And what you lost

    (Oooooh)

Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say, women...they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
    You'll know

Now here I go again, I see, the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
    It's only me
Who wants to wrap around your dreams and
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
    Dreams of loneliness...
Like a heartbeat drives you mad...
    In the stillness of remembering
    What you had
    And what you lost...
    What you had...
    Ooh, what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know

Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
    You'll know
    You will know
    Oh, oh, oh you'll know

Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon with lyrics

    3:46

Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon from 1975 with lyrics below

    LYRICS:

Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night
And wouldn't you love to love her?
Takes through the sky like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover?

All your life you've never seen a woman
    Taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you Heaven?
    Will you ever win?

She is like a cat in the dark
And then she is the darkness
She rules her life like a fine skylark
And when the sky is starless

All your life you've never seen a woman
    Taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you Heaven?
Will you ever win? Will you ever win?

    Rhiannon Fleetwood Mac Live 1976

    6:32

A blazing 1976 performance of Rhiannon on the Midnight Special hosted by legendary LA DJ Wolfman Jack. As Fleetwood Mac returns to touring in 2013 only Christine McVie apparently will be missing. Wish she'd make it as well.

    Stevie Nicks - lead vocal
Lindsey Buckingham - guitar & vocals
Christine McVie - keyboards & vocals
    John McVie - bass
    Mick Fleetwood - drums

While the sound was decent for 70's TV, I still tried to brighten the mix a bit.
Wolfman Jack aka Bob Smith portrayed himself sort of in American Graffiti. At night from LA up to as far as Montana, the Wolfman could be heard booming across the Southwest US from station XERB in Del Rio Texas with a transmitter just across the border pumping out 150,000 watts of power.

    Stevie Nicks - Landslide

    4:22

Stevie Nicks - Landslide, The Soundstage Sessions (2009)

    Lyrics:

I took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Till the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
    Oh, I don't know
    Oh, I don't know

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
    But time makes you bolder
Children get older, I'm getting older too
    So...

    I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
    But time makes you bolder
Children get older, I'm getting older too
Oh yes, I'm getting older too
    So...

If you take this love, take it down
Oh, if you climb a mountain and you turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide bring it down, down

And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down
Oh,well, well, the landslide will bring it down
well, well, the landslide will bring it down
well, well, the landslide will bring it down

Stevie Nicks - Not Make Believe

    5:14

    (Comments would be much appreciated!)

This is a demo from the 'Trouble In Shangri-La' sessions, and it's approximately from the year 2000. The final product ended up being a bonus track on Fleetwood Mac's 2003 'Say You Will' album.

I used all pictures from the Rumours era, just for the sheer hell of it. Plus, Stevie looked gorgeous at this time era. (Not that she doesn't always!)

    LYRICS

Isn't just that we cause each other such pain
    Everywhere we go now
    Home or at play
    It hurts my self esteem
    It hurts my everything
    I am reeling
    Oh, it hurts my feelings

    Sometimes it was heavenly
    Sometimes it was too heavy
Sometimes its just too much for me
    I want to run away

    Then there are the things
    Things that way
The things that me stay so long

    Not make believe then
    I'm not make believe now

It was the best of times
It was the worst of times
    And they both rushed by
Like a thief in the night
    Taking no prisoners
    Just like the first time
    Adventures in paradise
    Just like the first time

Then there are things cast away
The things that make me stay so long

    Not make believe then
    I'm not make believe now
    Not make believe then
    I'm not make believe now
    Not make believe then
No, I'm not make believe now

    Not make believe then
    I'm not make believe now

    I did not understand then
    But, I understand now

    It's written on the wind
    We're not make believe now

Stevie Nicks - Edge Of Seventeen Version 1

The first version of the Unreleased Official Video for Stevie Nicks' classic, Edge Of Seventeen, the third single from her 1981 solo debut, Bella Donna. This version features footage shot at Stevie's condominium on the beach in Marina del Rey, CA.

    Edge Of Seventeen
(Music and Lyrics by Stevie Nicks)

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo... whoo... whoo...
Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

    And the days go by
Like a strand in the wind
In the web that is my own
    I begin again
    Said to my friend, baby
    Nothin' else mattered...

    He was no more
    (He was no more)
    Than a baby then
    Well, he seemed broken hearted
    Somethin' within him
    But the moment
    That I first laid
    Eyes on him
All alone on the edge of seventeen

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo, whoo
Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Said, whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

    Well, I went today
    Maybe I will go again
    Tomorrow, yeah, yeah
    Well, the music there
    Well it was hauntingly familiar
    When I see you doin'
What I try to do for me
With their words of a poet
And a voice from a choir
    And a melody
    Nothin' else mattered

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo, said whoo
Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Said, whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

    The clouds never expect it
    When it rains
    But the sea changes colours
    But the sea
    Does not change
So with the slow graceful flow
    Of age
I went forth with an age old
    Desire to please
    On the edge of seventeen

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo, said whoo
Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

    Well then suddenly
There was no one left standing
    In the hall, yeah, yeah
    In a flood of tears
That no one really ever heard fall at all
When I went searchin' for an answer
Up the stairs and down the hall
    Not to find an answer
    Just to hear the call
    Of a nightbird singin'
    (Come away)
    (Come away)

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo, said whoo
Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

Well, I hear you (well, I hear you)
In the morning (in the morning)
And I hear you (and I hear you)
    At nightfall (at nightfall)
    Sometime to be near you
Is to be unable to hear you
    My love
I'm a few years older than you
(I'm a few years older than you)

Just like the white winged dove
    Sings a song
    Sounds like she's singin'
    Whoo, baby, whoo
    Said, whoo

Stevie Nicks - Christian #2 - NEWLY SURFACED!!

    9:20

This is a newly surfaced piano demo of a very rare unreleased song she wrote entitled Christian. Little is known about this demo because it seems to us that it was only recorded around the time of the Bella Donna album sessions. Hoping that Dave Stewart or Stevie Nicks herself will hear this beautiful forgotten treasure and possibly use it for her next vault project! Enjoy this fantastic demo.

A big thanks goes to Sandor for making this video possible. He stumbled across some many rare recordings and this is just a mere sample of what else there is. THANK YOU SANDOR!

Stevie Nicks - Castaway - Unreleased song 1979

    4:21

Stevie uses the f-word in this one!!!

This is a demo labelled 03 11 1979. Just Stevie on the piano & singing.

I've put some pictures and footage to go with it from the Tusk era.

The quite obscure Lyrics are something like this:

    He's a castaway
He knows I don't really see him
    I could leave today

    Stand alone
    Watching the water
    You go 'round and 'round
    But it just gets harder
    'Round and 'round
    But it's not that easy

    Livin' in a hole
Was it your world or just my darkness?
    Nowhere to go
    You know
There are angels running from the heartless

    He's a castaway
He knows I don't really see him
    I could leave today
But I could never offer freedom
Was it your world or just my darkness
There are angels running from the heartless
    Playing down the road
    In your mystery

    Changing... mystery
    Changing in your mystery
    Changes in your mystery...
    Changes...
    Talking bout your mystery...
    Mystery...changes....

Stevie Nicks - Wild Heart - Live Demo - 1981

    4:12

I've always loved Stevie Nicks. But I recently discovered this amazing rehearsal of Wild Heart in 1981 (actually I think it was a photo session). She sings so naturally and she's beautiful just like she still is. Stevie is THE female voice ! (and a very lovely and funny woman).
Thank you very much for all the comments. It's great !
