reggae music touch down, if your heart did ever lost
then a there it can be found. Half a pound of drum to
set the foundation cause your riddim have to tough
me say your riddim have to strong, 5 ounce of bass let
we shake up the place like a bird to a feather, they
cant separate, say the bass it has to play, when reggae
music deya bass it have play, lord, then you draw for
the guitar then you draw for the keys, strum 2 chords
then you drop them offbeat, some call it the chop and
some call it skank, some call it the cut some even say
the chicken scratch, a reggae music make that, anytime
you hear that sound a reggae influence that, lord... now
a pinch of rock steady and a bubble organ, stir in some
love and boil with some passion, leave to simmer
down and then you add percussion, kette drum the
heart beat of the nation. Chorus. Now you give your
tune unto the sound, the soundman play it round the
town, the town come out and gather round, they say
your sound it has the crown, so now you know your
good to go, find an artist with some flow, put it on the
radio, perform it live at the show,. Number one, the
place it done, your tune a buss you cant go wrong,
gotto strong cause temptation, can send you down a
path thats wrong, sell you out them change your plan,
always keep your family strong, the ones around you
who belong, help you keep your meds them strong,
keep your feet upon the ground, never ever change the
sound, car the train the bus the plane, travel the world
like everyday, unto Jah we dont stop pray, to guide and
protect me on my way, preaching the love and the
righteous life, shall bring another day.

When you feel the sun rays, them a beat pon your face,
and your skin has a glaze cause all days it a blaze,
then you know, your in the land of the rising sun,
everyone should touch the motherland. When you
don't have to fret your biggest worry is sweat at the
swing of a machete a jelly coconut you get, then you
know, your in the land of the rising sun, Africa you
know me soon come. Its seems a longtime so many
years or more, I took a early evening stroll along the
golden shore, it seems like a dream since I last touch
the scene and go lay down pon de grass which is
greener than green, nobody naa hold me back its my
choice, and now the time has come you know I must
return to paradise, eat some fresh vegetable and some
fruit that is ripe, recharge up the batteries of life.

Plagued by politricks friction, yes its an addiction by
the west to stop the unification, their funding the wars
to keep it of course, so they can tap into Africa's
natural resources, all they show you is famine, your
frightened of visiting, the great motherland to go and
see what is happening, pack a case, catch a plane, take
a visit, take a walk and spend your money in the local
village, in a minute, you ago see some friendly face,
who will greet you like they've known you from
decades, come fe meet you teach you, african ways,
and then you know your in the original birthplace, it
ago sweet you when your body starts to unwind, you
found the power source you click connect and now

heart, you see them don't have a ting but still want to

    3:44

    10. I CANT BELIEVE
Produced by Damalistik for Roots Survival
Drums by Sam Gilly, Bass by Djei Gogo
Guitars by Bill Casper and Damalistik
    Keys and Programming by Damalistik
Sax by Radim Vychopen, Trombone by Henry Matic
Tenyue aka Buttons, Vocals written by E Browne,

Its funny how when you start to make it, you see who
are your real friends and who a fake it. I cant believe,
that its you who fighting me, some say i'm naive,
tru me have a clean heart and think everyone is
walking that path. its too hard to believe, that your
friend's the enemy, but don't be naive, just true you
have a clean heart and think everyone is walking that
path. So whom are they working for, who's the one who
send dem come against Jah Jah souljahs, just tell me
who is the man, that gave you the plan to be a wolf in
sheep's attire. Whom are you working for, cause every
gang good or bad has a ring leader, I know that there
has to be a boss, the one who pays the cost to see his
evil plan come together. Their talking love with the
tongues, but their intentions is as clear as the day
when you see their actions, yes you gotta be strongs,
cause your worst enemy can turn out to be your close
companion, Carl Meeks said, weh dem fa, weh dem a
do ya, you nu see say dema war monger, their hiding
in the grass, like a snake dey want pass undetected but
we spot dem from far. So we point dem out, we na go
mek dem hide it out, for another victim of their trap to
get caught out, but I have no doubts, its swings in
roundabouts, seed a weh you plant a go grow and
then catch you out, we gotta stay alert, it can really
hurt betrayal of this kinda de worse, when you had a
loved one who you trusted to ground turns out to be a
Judas. I cant believe, that its you who fighting me,
don't be naive, tru you have a clean heart and think
everyone is walking that path. Its too hard to believe,
that your friends your the enemy, don't be naive, tru
you have a clean heart and think everyone is walking
that path. First cut it a the deepest cause I see never
this coming the scheming was cunning, now it has
been revealed, I know the real deal, its a blessing no
matter how upsetting. Inna life, y'a go find, we
travelling on a road thats not as straight as we would
like, it has bends it has winds and very sharp corners
that will make you wonders why. I cant believe, that its
you who fighting me, don't be naive, tru you have a
clean heart and think everyone is walking that path.
its too hard to believe, that your friend's the enemy,
dont be naive, tru you have a clean heart and think
everyone is walking that path. So whom are they
working for, whos the one who send dem come for Jah
Jah souljahs, just tell me who is the man, that gave you
the plan to be a wolf in sheep's attire. Whom are you

we inherit from the past, different time we living in so
we have to move fast, to engage your inner-self has to
be the first task, I beg unno enrol in the class. Chorus.
open up your seven seals and let your energies flow,
kundalini it a rise from your toes, your innerself glows,
Rastafari done let we knows, we have to keep a leash
on our egos, those who humble themselves, shall be
exhalted to wealth, but to those who love to pose they
shall be left on the shelf, your inner works are done by
you and no one else, and theres a world of knowledge
out there that can help, so you can be...Chorus.

  • Roots Factory Records present Solo Banton, Ramon Judah and more - out on 12 vinyl 25/10/13

    6:47

Roots Factory records proudly present their very first vinyl release (4 track 45rpm 12) featuring some of the finest and most prolific musicians in the reggae scene.
The opening track is an homage to the Rastafarian faith by Ramon Judah entitled Not Afraid. Ramon originally hails from Liverpool where he cut his teeth on both 'Creation' and 'One A Penny' sound systems back in the 80s. He has now become a known figure on the Sound System and Roots landscape in London and beyond with tunes getting aired by the likes of Jah Shaka and mashing up dances worlwide.
Solo Banton follows with an inspiring tune called 'Bounce Back'. (A different mix was released in 2012 on Solo's album 'Higher Levels' on the Reality Shock label). This mix features live drumming performed by George Phillips and has an original roots feel. Solo Banton has been actively involved in reggae music industry for 30 years with a long career as music producer and as a soundman. He only started his career as an artist recently but has since become one of the busiest and most prolific UK artists. Solo has release many big tunes to date with artists and producers like Jahtari, Mungos Hi-Fi and Dubkasm to name a few. His lyrical content is always inspiring, uplifting and conscious.
The flip side features the talents of Ed Rieband and Dave Fullwood who offer up a very powerful and moving brass cut on trombone and trumpet respectively. Fullwood and Rieband take you on a musical journey of the bliss riddim in the aptly titled 'Horn Bliss'. They've collectively been involved with the likes of Zion Train, Lee Perry and Adrian Sherwood and it truly was an honour to work with them!
The final cut is a dub version, mixed by Brigadier JC where the riddim is deconstructed and turned into something new and different. It was designed to be played on sound systems and to shake the walls of the dancehall.
