    Lyrics:

It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away

Since you been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
    But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues
    'Cause nothing compares
    Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby where did I go wrong

I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor and guess what he told me?
    Guess what he told me?
He said girl you better try to have fun
No matter what you do, but he's a fool
    'Cause nothing compares
    Nothing compares to you

All the flowers that you planted mama
    In the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try
    'Cause nothing compares
    Nothing compares to you

    Nothing compares
    Nothing compares to you
    Nothing compares
    Nothing compares to you

Puedo ver a quien yo elija
He estado tan sola aquí sin ti

Sinéad O'Connor- Run (Snow Patrol cover #ShineYourLight)

    Stay at home!!!!!

RUN (Nathan Connolly / Gary Lightbody / Mark Mccelland / Jonathan Quinn / Ian Archer)

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
    In all I've done.

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
    Away from here

    Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

    Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
    I nearly do

    Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

    Have heart my dear
    We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess.

  • Sinead OConnor, Nothing Compares 2 U , San Francisco, February 7, 2020

    5:22

Sinéad O'Connor plays the song Nothing Compares 2 U live in concert before a sold-out crowd at August Hall in San Francisco, California on February 7, 2020. This tour, called The 786 Tour, marks O'Connor's first shows in North America since 2014. Nothing Compares 2 U was written by Prince and was originally released on the 1985 album The Family. Sinead O'Connor released a cover version on her second studio album, I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got (1990). It went on to reach Number One throughout the world and is her biggest hit to date. In 2015, O'Connor announced she would stop playing the song live because she could no longer emotionally identify with it. She next performed it with a chamber orchestra on the Late Late Show in Ireland in 2019, and the video generated enormous worldwide buzz.

    Sinead O'Connor official bio:

Having left the stage four years ago on a journey of self-renewal, Sinead O’Connor returns to the stage; importantly, to the international stage, beginning with a string of select US dates to what promises to be an exciting 2020, seeing Sinead finally return to North America.

Upon announcement of her Irish tour dates for October 2019, so passionate and enthusiastic was the response that tickets were sold out within an hour. Following her appearance on Ireland’s premier talk show, “The Late Late Show” on the 6th of September and the subsequent global viral reaction, demand to see Sinead O’Connor live became overwhelming and so it’s with great pleasure we can announce new US Tour dates, her first for almost six years.

An artist beyond comparison - unique, uncompromising, a pioneer, a visionary are just some of the descriptions that might only touch the surface of Sinead O’Connor. Embodying a voice with beauty and innocence, a spirit part punk, part mystic with a combined fearlessness and gentle authenticity. This voice as Sinead’s unique expression would be echoed in the voices of other artists who she would inspire who came after.

Chart topping singles, hit albums, numerous awards an array of collaborations later and Sinead’s spiritual journey would lead her through a turbulent, troubled and restless existence to find solace in Islam.

This year marks the return of Sinead O’Connor and a new beginning that will see Sinead bring out new music and tour the world once again as one of the true and original living greats of our time.

Foram sete horas e quinze dias
Desde que você tirou seu amor
Eu saio todas as noites e durmo o dia todo
    Posso ver quem eu escolho
Eu me sinto tão sozinho aqui sem você
    No quintal

    3:55

Mandika is a single released by Sinéad O'Connor from her 1987 debut album 'The Lion and the Cobra'. The single was a big college radio hit in the US following Sinéad's appearance on 'Late Night with David Letterman', in what was her first US network television appearance. This video is of her appearance at the 1989 Grammy Awards. Her only expalantion of the song came in an 1988 interview when she said “Mandinkas are an African tribe. They’re mentioned in a book called Roots by Alex Haley, which is what the song is about. In order to understand it you must read the book.”

The Mandinka (or Mandingo) is a West African ethnic group with an estimated global population of 11 million. They are descendants of the Mali Empire and continue to educate orally, with learning traditionally done through stories, songs and proverbs. During the 16th, 17th & 18th centuries, many Mandinka were enslaved and shipped to the Americas, resulting in a significant portion of African Americans in the US being descendants of the Mandinka people. One of the better known Mandinka people is 'Kunta Kinte' whose life story was told in the Alex Haley novel 'Roots' and the subsequent mini-series of the same name. The 1974 film 'Mandingo' has boxer Ken Norton playing the main slave character.

In urban dictionary circles, Mandingo can mean something a little different.

sinead o'connor - she moved through the fair [live 1997] superb

    Verse 1
My young love said to me,
    My mother won't mind
And my father won't slight you
    For your lack of kind.
And she stepped away from me
    And this she did say:
It will not be long, Love,
    'Til our wedding day.

    Verse 2
    She stepped away from me
And she moved through the fair
    And fondly I watched her
    Move here and move there.
And then she made her way homeward,
    With one star awake,
As the swan in the evening
    Moved over the lake.

    Verse 3
    The people were saying,
    No two e'er were wed
    But one had a sorrow
    That never was said.
And I smiled as she passed
With her goods and her gear,
    And that was the last
That I saw of my dear

    Verse 4
Last night she came to me,
    My dead love came in.
    So softly she came
That her feet made no din.
As she laid her hand on me,
    And this she did say:
It will not be long, love,
    'Til our wedding day.

Look look look I'm in the mood for love
Look I'm in the mood for love
    Simply because you're near me
    Simply because you're near me

I'm not the type of girl to put on a show
'Cause when I say no, yo, I mean no
But when it comes to you
    I just can't refuse
    I've been around the bush
Give you all types of blues

I love the way you make me feel
    I never fight it
And when you are near I get so excited
I want you to love me
    And just touch me
Put your hands, put your hands on me

    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me
    Put your hands on me

Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me

    Hands, gimme love
    Hands, gimme those

    I want your
    Gimme, yes
    Gimme, yes
    Aaahhhh

Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me
Put 'em on, put 'em on, put 'em on me

    Hands, gimme love
    Hands, gimme those

Saam - Couldn't sleep so I went out walking
Thinking about you and hearing us talking
And all the things I should have said
    Echo now, inside my head

I feel something falling from the sky
I'm so sad I made the angels cry

    Tears from the moon
    Fall down like rain
    I reach for you
    I reach in vain

Tears from the moon, tears from the moon

    Tears from the moon
    Fall down like rain
    I reach for you
    I reach in vain

    Tears from the moon
    Fall down like rain
    but tears from the moon
    can't wash away the pain

Tears from the moon, tears from the moon
Tears from the moon, tears from the moon

    Lyrics:

    Silent night,
    Holy night,
    All is calm,
    We see,
    All is bright
Round young virgin mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild
    We say
    Sleep in heavenly peace,
    Sleep in heavenly peace.
    Silent night,
    Holy night,
    Shepherds first saw the sight
    Glorious streaming from heaven afar,
    Heav'nly host sing Alleluia
    Christ the savior is born,
    Christ the savior is born.
    Silent night,
    Holy night,
    All is calm,
    We see,
    All in bright
Round young virgin mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild
    We say
    Sleep in heavenly peace,
    Sleep in heavenly peace.

  • Sinead O´connor - Abucheada En El Madison Square Garden

    4:31

También explicó que, si hubiera sido en su show, I would have gave her such a smack (Le habría dado una gran bofetada ) .

Afirmó entonces haberlo hecho because I was in rebellion against the faith, but I was still within the faith (porque estaba en rebelión contra la fe, pero aún estaba con ella); también citó a San Agustín, diciendo Anger is the first step towards courage (la ira es el primer paso hacia el coraje/valor).

    Lyrics:
    What else should I be
    All apologies
    What else should I say
    Everyone is gay
    What else could I write
    I don't have the right
    What else should I be
    All apologies
    In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
    In the sun
    In the sun
    I'm married
    Buried
    Buried
I wish I was like you
    Easily amused
    Find my nest of salt
    Everything's my fault
    I'll take all the blame
    Aqua sea-foam shame
    Sunburn with freezer-burn
Choking on the ashes of her enemy
    In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
    In the sun
    In the sun
    I'm married
    Buried
    Buried
