Savoy Brown - It Hurts Me Too
    Savoy Brown (Blue Matter 1968),

    You said you was hurtin', almost lost your mind;
'the man you love, he hurts you all the time.
when things go wrong, wrong with you... it hurts me too.

he loved another woman; yes, but I love you
But you love him, and stick to him like glue.
when things go wrong, wrong with you... it hurts me too.

You love him more, when you should love him less.
Why pick up behind him yes and take his best?
when things go wrong, wrong with you... it hurts me too.

said goodbye baby im gonna pack my case
Lord i know ill never ill never take his place
when things go wrong, lord ,lord its alright with you
    it hurt me too

  • SAVOY BROWN - Louisiana Blues

SAVOY BROWN - Louisiana Blues (Live)
    ALBUM Blue Matter (1969)
The third release by Kim Simmonds and company, but the first to feature the most memorable lineup of the group: Simmonds, Lonesome Dave Peverett, Tony Tone Stevens, Roger Earl, and charismatic singer Chris Youlden. This one serves up a nice mixture of blues covers and originals, with the first side devoted to studio cuts and the second a live club date recording.

  • Savoy Brown Raw Sienna THAT SAME OLD FEELIN 1970 1st UK Press

Actual recording from the vinyl That Same Old Feelin' ''
Originally known as the Savoy Brown Blues Band, their 1969 single Train to Nowhere (with singer Chris Youlden), was viewed by many as the last gasp of the blues scene in Great Britain. Although Savoy Brown never reached much acclaim in their home nation, they developed a loyal core following in the United States, due to songs such as I'm Tired (from their album A Step Further), a driving, melodic song. They were one of the bands that UK Decca (US London/Parrot) stuck with through the lean times until they started selling records (it took 4 or 5 albums until they started to sell in the US). In the late 1960s and 1970s, the band managed to penetrate the Billboard Hot 100. Superstardom perpetually evaded them, perhaps in part because of their frequent lineup changes, but despite that, Hellbound Train was a big album for them in the US!!!!!.

While the band is still active today, only Kim Simmonds has stayed since the beginning. Guitarist Lonesome Dave Peverett, bassist Tone Stevens, and drummer Roger Earle went on to form Foghat. Original member and harmonica player, John O'Leary, is still active on the British blues circuit with The John O'Leary Band. Savoy Brown's first album, Shake Down, featured lead vocalist Bryce Portius. Portius was one of the first black blues musicians to be a part of a British rock band. Another singer, Dave Walker, would later join Fleetwood Mac and Black Sabbath

  • if i can see an end Savoy Brown

  • SAVOY BROWN - Money Cant Save Your Soul

SAVOY BROWN - Money Can't Save Your Soul
    ALBUM Looking In (1970)
Looking In is the sixth album by the British blues band Savoy Brown. The album featured Lonesome Dave Peverett on vocals after Chris Youlden left the band the previous spring. Leader/guitarist Kim Simmonds would be the only band member to continue with the band after this album, as all other band members left to form Foghat the following year.

It was released by Decca in 1970 (SKL 5066). For release in the United States and Canada, tapes were leased to Parrot Records (PAS 71042).

The album spent a week on the UK Official Charts and reached number 50. It did considerably better in the US where it spent 19 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 39, their second highest charting US album.
