Lyrics / Letra Ray Charles Hit The Road Jack
    ------------------------------------------------------------

(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)
    What you say?
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more.)
(Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.)

Woah Woman, oh woman, don't treat me so mean,
You're the meanest old woman that I've ever seen.
I guess if you said so
I'd have to pack my things and go. (That's right)

Now baby, listen baby, don't ya treat me this-a way
Cause I'll be back on my feet some day.
(Don't care if you do 'cause it's understood)
(you ain't got no money you just ain't no good.)
Well, I guess if you say so
I'd have to pack my things and go. (That's right)

    Well
(don't you come back no more.)
    Uh, what you say?
(don't you come back no more.)
    I didn't understand you
(don't you come back no more.)
    You can't mean that
(don't you come back no more.)
    Oh, now baby, please
(don't you come back no more.)
What you tryin' to do to me?

Ray Charles - Whatd I Say

    4:20

Sao Paulo, Brazil (22 September 1963)

Ray Charles Robinson (September 23, 1930 -- June 10, 2004) was an American singer-songwriter, musician and composer known as Ray Charles. He was a pioneer in the genre of soul music during the 1950s by fusing rhythm and blues, gospel, and blues styles into his early recordings with Atlantic Records. He also helped racially integrate country and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success on ABC Records, most notably with his Modern Sounds albums. While with ABC, Charles became one of the first African-American musicians to be given artistic control by a mainstream record company. The influences upon his music were mainly jazz, blues, rhythm and blues, and country artists of the day such as Art Tatum, Nat King Cole, Louis Jordan, Charles Brown, and Louis Armstrong. His playing reflected influences from country blues, barrelhouse and stride piano styles. Frank Sinatra called Charles the only true genius in show business, although Charles downplayed this notion. He was blind since age 7.

What'd I Say (or What I Say) is a an American Rock n roll\R&B song, by Ray Charles released in 1959 as a single divided into two parts. It was improvised one evening late in 1958 when Charles, his orchestra, and backup singers had played their entire set list at a show and still had time left; the response from many audiences was so enthusiastic that Charles announced to his producer that he was going to record it. After his run of R&B hits, this song finally broke Charles into mainstream pop music and itself sparked a new sub-genre of R&B titled soul, finally putting together all the elements that Charles had been creating since he recorded I Got a Woman in 1954. The gospel and rhumba influences combined with the sexual innuendo in the song made it not only widely popular but very controversial to both white and black audiences. It earned Ray Charles his first gold record and has been one of the most influential songs in R&B and rock and roll history. For the rest of his career, Charles closed every concert with the song. It was added to the National Recording Registry in 2002 and ranked at number 10 in Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

    Lyrics:

Hey mama, don't you treat me wrong
Come and love your daddy all night long
All right, all right, all right, all right, all right now
When you see me in misery
Come on baby, see about me
    Now, now, all right now
See the girl with the red dress on
She can Birdland all night long
All right, all right, all right, all right, all right now

See the girl with the diamond ring
She knows how to shake that thing
All right, all right, all right now, all right, all right now
Tell your mama, tell your pa
I'm gonna send you back to Arkansas
Oh yes, ma'm, you don't do right, don't do right

    What'd I say
Tell me what'd I say, now
Tell me what'd I say, yeah
Tell me what'd I say, now
    Tell me what'd I say
    Tell me what'd I say

    I wanna know
    I wanna know
    And-a I wanna know
    And I wanna know
    And-a I wanna know
    I wanna know yeah

Awh it's all right (baby it's all right)
Said that it's all right right now (baby it's all right)
Said that it's all right (baby it's all right)
Said that it's all right yeah (baby it's all right)
Said that it's all right (baby it's all right)
Said that it's all right (baby it's all right)

Shake that thing now (baby shake that thing)
Baby shake that thing now now (baby shake that thing)
Baby shake that thing (baby shake that thing)
Baby shake that thing right now (baby shake that thing)

    Georgia, Georgia,
    The whole day through
    Just an old sweet song
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

    I'm say Georgia
    Georgia
    A song of you
    Comes as sweet and clear
    As moonlight through the pines

Other arms reach out to me
    Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

    I said Georgia,
Ooh Georgia, no peace I find
    Just an old sweet song
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

Other arms reach out to me
    Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you

    Georgia,
    Georgia,
No peace, no peace I find
    Just this old, sweet song
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

I said just an old sweet song,
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

Ray Charles Robinson (September 23, 1930 – June 10, 2004), known professionally as Ray Charles, was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. Among friends and fellow musicians he preferred being called Brother Ray. He was often referred to as The Genius. Charles was blind from the age of seven.
He pioneered the genre of soul music during the 1950s by combining blues, rhythm and blues, and gospel styles into the music he recorded for Atlantic Records. He also contributed to the integration of country and rhythm and blues and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success on ABC Records, most notably with his two Modern Sounds albums. While he was with ABC, Charles became one of the first African-American musicians to be granted artistic control by a mainstream record company.
Charles cited Nat King Cole as a primary influence, but his music was also influenced by country, jazz, blues, and rhythm and blues artists of the day, including Louis Jordan and Charles Brown. In the late forties he became friends with Quincy Jones, to whom he learned the ropes of arranging jazz music. Their friendship would last till the end.
Frank Sinatra called him the only true genius in show business, although Charles downplayed this notion.
In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Charles at number ten on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and number two on their November 2008 list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. Billy Joel observed: This may sound like sacrilege, but I think Ray Charles was more important than Elvis Presley.

    3:51

    { Seven Spanish Angels { Dutch Translate }

Hij keek naar haar bruine ogen,
Zei: Zeg een gebed voor mij.
Ze gooide haar armen om hem heen,
Fluisterde: 'God zal ons vrij houden.'
En zij konden de ruiters horen komen
Hij zei: Dit is mijn laatste gevecht.
Als ze me terug naar Texas brengen,
Ze zullen me niet meer levend terugbrengen. '

Hij zei: 'Vader vergeef me alstublieft,

En ze wist dat het geweer leeg was,

She threw her arms around him whispered, God will keep us free
They could hear the riders comin' he said, This is my last fight
If they take me back to Texas they won't take me back alive

I would like to turn it in to a Holliday resort. The house is near to the sea and it has a potential to be an excellent place to spend your hollidays there in peace and quiet. The only problem is that I miss the funds to do so. My husband and I are hoping that this campaign will be successful and that it would provide us with a steady job and financial security so we could start our familly on the Island Hvar.

So if You could understand me even a little bit, please donate just 1$ to my campaign, help me and my husband to start our buissnies and our familly. Every donation, doesn't mater how small it is, would bring us one step closer to our dream. It would take one minute of your time to do it and that one minute could change my life.

Ray Charles Somewhere Over the Rainbow

    4:10

Over the Rainbow (often referred to as Somewhere Over the Rainbow) is a classic Academy Award-winning ballad song with music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg. It was written for the movie The Wizard of Oz, and was sung by Judy Garland in the movie. Over time it would become Garland's signature song.
In the film, part of the song is played by the MGM orchestra over the opening credits. About 5 minutes later, Garland, in the role of Dorothy Gale, sings Over the Rainbow after unsuccessfully trying to get her aunt and uncle to listen to her regarding an unpleasant incident involving Dorothy's dog Toto and the nasty spinster Miss Gulch (Margaret Hamilton). Dorothy's Aunt Em tells her to find a place where you won't get yourself into any trouble, prompting Dorothy to walk off by herself and sing the song. The famous sequence itself, as well as the entirety of the Kansas scenes, was directed (though uncredited) by King Vidor.

Ray Charles - All I Ever Need Is You HD

    4:23

The Miami Lighthouse for the Blind

    James L.Knight Center in Miami,Florida,1999

Composer : Jimmy Holiday , Eddie Reeves

    Lyrics:

Sometimes when I'm sad and all alone,o baby,
Just like a child without a home
The love you give me keeps me hangin' on,oh God,yea,
All I ever need is you now

Your my first love, your my last and
Your my future, your my past
Loving you is all I ask, ohh
All I ever need is you, baby

Winters come and then they go
And we watch the melting snow
Sure as summer follows spring, all the things you do
Give me a reason to build my world around you

Some men follow rainbows I am told
Some men search for silver, some for gold
I found my treasures in your soul, yea
All I ever need is you baby

Without love I'd never find the way
Through ups and downs of every day,o baby
I won't sleep at night until you say
Ohh Babe, all I ever need is you

    Sax Solo :

Some men follow rainbows I am told
Some men search for silver, some for gold
I found my treasures in your soul
All I ever need is you baby

Without love I'd never find the way,oh no
Through ups and downs of every day,oh yea
I won't sleep at night until you say
Ohh, all I ever need is you
    I wanna hear you say
All I ever need is you babe
All I ever need is you
All I ever need is you
All I ever need is you

Ray Charles - Georgia on my mind - Live 1976 - Lyrics / Paroles

    5:09

Ray Charles - Georgia on my mind - Live 1976 (Midnight Special - Burt Sugarman)

    Lyrics - Paroles :
Every time my eyes sing that song
    I sing for my
    Georgia, Georgia
    The whole day through
    This old sweet song
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

Hey, Georgia, oh, yeah, yeah, Georgia
    And a song of you
    Comes as sweet and clear
    As moonlight through the pines

Other arms reach out to me
    Other eyes smile tenderly, yeah
Still in peaceful dreams I see
On another road, it leads back to you

Hey, Georgia, I say oh, Georgia
No, no, no peace I find girly
Just an old sweet song, God is this song long
    Keeps Georgia on my mind

Other arms reach out to me
    Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
Busy road, the road leads back to you now

Oh, Georgia, don't do that, had to know well
No peace I find, won't you hear me now
It's just an old sweet song, I said, oh, I said that
    Keeps Georgia on my mind
On my mind, yeah, it won't be so
    Keeps Georgia on my mind
You know the little girls that are on my mind

    Yes, it is

Ray Charles - America,The Beautiful HD

    7:29

The Miami Lighthouse for the Blind

    James L.Knight Center in Miami,Florida,1999

Composer : Samuel A. Ward , Katharine Lee Bates

    Lyrics :

    Oh beautiful, for heroes proved,
    In liberating strife,
Who more than self, their country loved,
    And mercy more than life,

    I'm singing about United

This America, sweet America, may God thy gold refine,
    Till all success be nobleness
    And every gain devined.

And you know when I was a little boy,
I remember we always sing it like this :

    Oh beautiful, for spacious skies,
    For amber waves of grain,
    For purple mountain majesties,
    Above the fruited plain,

    America,America,
God done shed his grace on thee,
    Oh yes He did,He did
He crowned thy good,oh don't you remember?
    In a brotherhood,
    From sea to shining sea.

You know, I wish I had somebody
    to help me sing this
America, I love you America, you see,
My God he done shed his grace on thee,
And you oughta love him for it,
He, he, he, he, crowned thy good,
He told me he would, with brotherhood,
    From sea to shining sea
Oh,yea Jesus, I want to thank you Lord.
