You and I was a duet by Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle that became a big hit in 1982. In 1982, the two singers joined to record the song You and I. When released to the public in 1982, You and I became a big country pop crossover hit for both singers, showing to the public they could be just as successful singing duets as they are capable of singing solo. Both singers gained equal respect for the song.In 2005, the song ranked #7 on CMT's 100 Greatest Duets in Country Music. Gayle performed the duet with Raul Malo of The Mavericks since Rabbitt had died of lung cancer in 1998.
You and I went to number one on the Country chart for a single week [1] and went to number seven on the Hot 100

  • Rabbitt - Locomotive breath

    3:46

Rabbitt was a South African rock band formed in 1972, evolving from a band called The Conglomeration. The original line-up consisted of Trevor Rabin, Errol Friedman, Francois Roos, Louis Forer and Cedric Samson. They recorded their first single in 1972, a cover of Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath”, that went to number 18 on the South African Top 20 in 1973, charting for 2 weeks. The band then broke up, but reformed in 1974 with Trevor Rabin (born 13 January 1954) - vocals, lead guitar, keyboards, Duncan Faure (born 16 December 1956) - vocals, guitars, keyboards, Ronnie Robot (Ronald Friedman) (born 5 October 1954) - bass guitar and Neil Cloud (born 3 September 1955) – drums. They made it into the charts a further 3 times, with “Charlie” being their biggest hit. It reached number 14 and charted for 4 weeks.

The band was immensely popular in South Africa, and they were labelled by many as the country’s first super-group. Most of their songs were written by the band members themselves, most notably Trevor Rabin. After releasing a number of 7” singles and 3 albums, they broke up in 1978. Trevor Rabin later became a member of Yes, and Duncan Faure went on to join the Bay City Rollers.

This version of the song is off the album Boys Will Be Boys, released in 1975. It differs significantly from the 7 single version that was released in 1973.

  • Eddie Rabbitt - I Love a Rainy Night Lyrics

    3:14

I Love a Rainy Night is from the album Horizon, released 1980.
Edward Thomas Eddie Rabbitt (November 27, 1941 -- May 7, 1998) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. His career began as a songwriter in the late 1960s, springboarding to a recording career after composing hits such as Kentucky Rain for Elvis Presley in 1970 and Pure Love for Ronnie Milsap in 1974. Later in the 1970s, Rabbitt helped to develop the crossover-influenced sound of country music prevalent in the 1980s with such hits as Suspicions and Every Which Way but Loose. His duets Friends and Lovers and You and I, with Juice Newton and Crystal Gayle respectively, later appeared on the soap operas Days of Our Lives and All My Children. Single I Love a Rainy Night reached number one on all three charts, the only single in Rabbitt's career to ever do so.

Hi, everyone!!! This is the 1 Hour Edition for this amazingly beautiful song. Additionally, this is one of my favorite Eddie Rabbitt's song.
Lastly, I really hope y'all enjoyed it with happiness.
    RIP Eddie Rabbitt (1941-1998).

    Lyrics
Well, I love a rainy night.
    I love a rainy night.
I love to hear the thunder.
    Watch the lightning.
When it lights up the sky.
You know it makes me feel good.

Well, I love a rainy night.
    It's such a beautiful sight.
I love to feel the rain on my face.
Taste the rain on my lips.
    In the moonlight shadow.

Showers wash all my cares away.
I wake up to a sunny day.

'Cause I love a rainy night.
Yeah, I love a rainy night.
Well, I love a rainy night.
Well, I love a rainy night, ooh ooh...

    I love a rainy night.

Puts a song in this heart of mine.
Puts a smile on my face every time.

'Cause I love a rainy night.
Yeah, I love a rainy night.
Ooh, I love a rainy night.
Yeah, I love a rainy night, ooh ooh...

Showers wash all my cares away.
I wake up to a sunny day.

'Cause I love a rainy night.
Yeah, I love a rainy night.
Well, I love a rainy night.
    I love a rainy night.

Well, I love a rainy night.
You can see it in my eyes.
Yeah, I love a rainy night.
    'Cause it makes me high.
Ooh, I love a rainy night.
    You know I do.
Yeah yeah, I love a rainy night.

    I love a rainy night.
You can see it in my eyes.
    I love a rainy night.
    It makes me high.
Well, I love a rainy night.
    And I love you, too.
Yeah, I love a rainy night.

Well, I love a rainy night.
Well, I love a rainy night.

It'd be a lie to say that I'm not gonna miss you
So please don't say goodbye now
Till I've kissed you one more time
And held you as I did when you where mine

It'd be a lie to say I don't still love you
I won't be thinking of you, girl
I never try to call you one more time
Or try to find a way to change your mind

Ooh, you don't love me anymore, oh, baby
You don't love me anymore, baby, please forgive me
But the wines gone to my head and tomorrow
I'll remember are you turned to me and said

It'd be a lie to say that I still love you
That I'll be thinking of you boy or drive by
To say hello sometime, oh, but now you're gone
And all I have are five words on my mind

You don't love me anymore, oh, baby
You don't love me any more, baby, please forgive me
But the wines gone to my head and tomorrow
I'll remember are you turned to me and said

Ooh, you don't love me anymore, oh, baby
You don't love me any more, I'll have to face it
Ooh, you don't love me anymore, oh, baby

Eddie Rabbitt – Rocky Mountain Music Lyrics
from album: Rocky Mountain Music (1976)
Back upon an old dirt road next to a swamp full of toads
Was a slanted wood shack with three little kids and a mama
Papa died in '63 left little Jenny and me
To plant those taters and pull up another tomorrow

    Rocky mountain music
    Fills my memory
    Rocky mountain music
Papa can I hear you playing for me

Little brother was never quite right, he used to sit on the floor in the sunlight
Play with the dust that danced on the beams in the window
And sister had to cook and clean, 'cause momma she got sick and lean
Sometimes I think she just died away missing papa

    Rocky mountain music
    Fills my memory
    Rocky mountain music
Mama can I hear you singing to me

Well every thing has changed today and little brother he was taken away
And sister, she married a soldier and lives in Toledo
And me I'm in a Nashville bar and I've never been so far
From that old gravel road and the rivers that run through my memory

    Rocky mountain music
    Fills my memory
    Rocky mountain music
Brother can I hear you calling me

    Rocky mountain music
    Fills my memory
    Rocky mountain music
Papa can I hear you playing for me
