  • Nat King Cole - Unforgettable

    2:32

    lyrics:

    Unforgettable
    That's what you are,
    Unforgettable
    Tho' near or far.

Like a song of love that clings to me,
How the thought of you does things to me.
    Never before
    Has someone been more...

    Unforgettable
    In every way,
    And forever more
    That's how you'll stay.

    That's why, darling, it's incredible
    That someone so unforgettable
    Thinks that I am
    Unforgettable, too.

    [interlude]

    Unforgettable
    In every way,
    And forever more
    That's how you'll stay.

    That's why, darling, it's incredible
    That someone so unforgettable
    Thinks that I am
    Unforgettable, too.

  • Nat King Cole - Mona Lisa

    3:30

Mona Lisa is a song written by Ray Evans and Jay Livingston for the Paramount Pictures film Captain Carey, U.S.A. (1950). It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for 1950. The arrangement was by Nelson Riddle and the orchestral backing was played by Les Baxter and his Orchestra. The soundtrack version by Nat King Cole spent eight weeks at number one in the Billboard singles chart in 1950. Also, Cole's version of the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1992. The Billboard sales charts of 1950 also showed significant sales on versions by Dennis Day and Harry James. In 1986, it was used as the theme to the British film Mona Lisa. An uncredited version of Mona Lisa plays in the background of one scene in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954). The song was used in the wedding scene of the NBC mini-series, Witness to the Mob, in 1998.

Various artists, including Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Art Lund, Shakin' Stevens, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, the Neville Brothers, and Nat King Cole's daughter Natalie Cole, have released cover versions of this song. Bruddah Iz (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole) also covered the song on the album Alone in IZ World. Harry Connick, Jr. included the song on his 2009 album, Your Songs.

A rockabilly version of Mona Lisa (b/w/ Foolish One) was released by Carl Mann on Phillips International Records (#3539) in March 1959 and reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Conway Twitty recorded a version of Mona Lisa in February 1959, but planned to release it only as an album cut (on an EP and an LP by MGM Records). Nevertheless, it peaked at #5 in the UK Singles Chart in that year.[1] Sam Phillips signed Carl Mann to record his version of the song after the Twitty version began getting radio play in early 1959[4]. This was the most successful single in Mann's career. The melody is slightly different, and the lyrics are also mostly the same as in the original version by Nat King Cole, though a few more phrases are added in that elaborate more on the girl he likes.

The singer Don Cherry recorded a version backed by the Victor Young Orchestra which reached number seven in 1952.

In 1961, this song was covered by Hong Kong female singer Kong Ling (江玲), on her LP album Off-Beat Cha Cha with the local Diamond Records.

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon Ill hear old winters song
But I miss you most of all my darling

  • Nat King Cole An Evening With Nat King Cole HD

    47:24

Here it is the Complete wold famous BBC TV special from 1963 September by Nat King cole in HD resolution.
I gave a little high and low pass with Equalizer to the sound and then I normalised it to max volume. Unfortunatelly Nat's voice is still sounds indirectly, but it's the technician's mistake who forgot to stick a hidden microphone on his suite before the show started. I also gave a more strength to the picture too... A little sharpness and a little detail enhancer for more detail, maybe a little too much of them. But I hope the result won't get dissapointed anyone.
Hope you'll like it, cause I do. Honestly he's my all time favorite singer and performer.

    2:54

Love Is A Many Splendored Thing

Love is a many splendored thing
    It's the April rose
That only grows in the early spring

Love is nature's way of giving
    A reason to believe in
The golden crown that makes a man, a king

Once on a high and windy hill
    In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed and the world stood still

Then your fingers touched my silent heart
And taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's a many splendored thing

Then your fingers touched my silent heart
And taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's a many splendored thing

  • Natalie Cole & Nat King Cole - When I Fall In Love

    4:17

And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you.

When I fall in love it will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love
In a restless world like this is
Love is ended before it's begun
    And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
When I give my heart it will be completely (Completely)
Or I'll never give my heart (Give my heart)

    And the moment
I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love (When I fall in love) with you

Oh, this love feels so right.

    (When... I give my heart)
When I give my heart, it will be completely
    (Completely)
Or I'll never (never, never) give my heart
    (Never give my heart)
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love
    (When I fall in love)
Is when I fall in love with you
    Ohhhh
    I love you

Nathaniel Adams Coles (March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965), known professionally as Nat King Cole, was an American singer who first came to prominence as a leading jazz pianist. He was widely noted for his soft baritone voice, performing in big band and jazz genres, and was a major force in popular music for three decades. Cole was one of the first African Americans to host a national television variety show, The Nat King Cole Show. His recordings remained popular worldwide after his death from lung cancer in February 1965. Inspired by the performances of Hines, Cole began his performing career in the mid-1930s while still a teenager, adopting the name Nat Cole. Cole left Chicago in 1936 to lead a band in a revival of Eubie Blake's revue Shuffle Along. His older brother, Eddie, a bass player, soon joined Cole's band, and they made their first recording in 1936, under Eddie's name. They also were regular performers in clubs. Cole acquired his nickname, King, performing at one jazz club, a nickname presumably reinforced by the otherwise unrelated nursery rhyme about Old King Cole. He was also a pianist in a national tour of Shuffle Along. When it suddenly failed in Long Beach, California, Cole decided to remain there. He later returned to Chicago in triumph to play such venues as the Edgewater Beach Hotel. Cole's first mainstream vocal hit was his 1943 recording of one of his compositions, Straighten Up and Fly Right, based on a black folk tale that his father had used as a theme for a sermon. Johnny Mercer invited him to record it for his fledgling Capitol Records. It sold over 500,000 copies, proving that folk-based material could appeal to a wide audience. Cole would never be considered a rocker, but the song can be seen as anticipating the first rock-and-roll records. Bo Diddley, who performed similar transformations of folk material, counted Cole as an influence. In 1946, the Cole trio paid to have their own 15-minute radio program on the air, King Cole Trio Time. It was the first radio program sponsored by a black performing artist. During those years, the trio recorded many transcription recordings, which were made in the radio studio for the broadcast. Later they were released as commercial records. Beginning in the late 1940s, Cole began recording and performing pop-oriented material for mainstream audiences, in which he was often accompanied by a string orchestra. His stature as a popular star was cemented during this period by hits such as The Christmas Song, (Get Your Kicks on) Route 66 (1946), Nature Boy (1948), Mona Lisa (1950), Too Young (the number 1 song in 1951), and his signature song, Unforgettable (1951) (Gainer 1). Cole's hit recording The Christmas Song was the first of his solo vocal recordings to be accompanied by a studio orchestra. This marked the start of his rise as an internationally acclaimed popular singer, with a smooth and sophisticated style. Cole's shift to pop music led some jazz critics and fans to accuse him of selling out, but he never abandoned his jazz roots; as late as 1956 he recorded an all-jazz album, After Midnight, and many of his albums after this are fundamentally jazz-based, being scored for big band without strings, although the arrangements focus primarily on the vocal rather than instrumental leads. Cole had one of his last major hits in 1963, two years before his death, with Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer, which reached number 6 on the Pop chart. Unforgettable was made famous again in 1991 by Cole's daughter Natalie when modern recording technology was used to reunite father and daughter in a duet. The duet version rose to the top of the pop charts, almost forty years after its original popularity.

  • The More I See You Nat King Cole

    3:26

The More I See You written by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon is from Nat King Cole's 1958 Capitol LP, The Very Thought of You, arranged and conducted by Gordon Jenkins. The album is available on CD on the Capitol and Collectors Choice labels. It can also be found on Nat King Cole's Greatest Hits. The combination of Nat King Cole's voice and Gordon Jenkins strings is unbeatable.I do not own the right to the songs, audio, or images contained in this video. • NAT KING COLE - QUIZAS QUIZAS QUIZAS - Karaoke Miguel Lobo

    2:52

  • Pedro Infante & Nat King Cole - No me platiques

    3:06

  • Nat King Cole - Silent Night

    2:11

Silent Night (German: Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht) is a popular Christmas carol. The original lyrics of the song Stille Nacht were written in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria, by the priest Father Joseph Mohr and the melody was composed by the Austrian headmaster Franz Xaver Gruber. In 1859, John Freeman Young (second Bishop, Episcopal Diocese of Florida) published the English translation that is most frequently sung today. The version of the melody that is generally sung today differs slightly (particularly in the final strain) from Gruber's original, which was a sprightly, dance-like tune in 6/8 time, as opposed to the slow, meditative lullaby version generally sung today. Today, the lyrics and melody are in the public domain.

    Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round your Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
    Sleep in heavenly peace
    Sleep in heavenly peace

    Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
    Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
    Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
