Mr. Sipp-Live in Ocala, Fla. July 17, 2019

    8:46

Description: Mr. Sipp and Band-Live Ocala, Fla. July 17, 2019. Castro Coleman aka “Mr. Sipp” from McComb, Mississippi, performs a medley containing Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing” (sorry I missed the beginning), and part of “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, ending with a sweet version of the The Star-Spangled Banner. Jimi Hendrix made famous his version at the Woodstock Music & Arts Festival Aug. 17, 1969. This is NOT a Hendrix version, but Mr. Sipp does add some blistering blues leads at the end.

Musicians: Mr. Sipp-Lead Singer/Lead Guitarist, Jeffrey Flanagan (Bass guitar), Samuel Brady (Organ) and William West (Drums)*
*Mr. Sipp's Band Mates as of 7-4-2019

Mr. Sipp is one of the hottest blues guitarists, singers to come along in the Blues genre in a long time. With many awards in recent years to be very proud of, and a hot CD release in 2017 titled “Knock a Hole in It” with the title song and “Gotta Let Her Go” getting repeated air and TV play, this artist who started off singing Gospel (and still does with a backup band, and touring.) I am confident we will hear a lot more from this great artist for years to come.

Note: (Share rights courtesy of Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series and the Mortimer and & Mimi Levitt Foundation.)

Final note: I was very fortunate to meet Mr. Sipp after the concert and talk briefly with him about Blues musicians, bands we both have been friends with here in Florida.

Mr. Sipp The Mississippi Blues Child Walking the crowd LIVE at 2016 Mighty Mississippi Festival

    12:16

Mr. Sipp does a 10 minute guitar solo walking through the crowd. LIVE is where he shines. What a performer. He combines Chuck Berry with Muddy Waters. This is a Camera A first hand point of view of Mr. Sipp live. I'm in the crowd. Sometimes my elbows get knocked. It's live. It happens, but you're right in the middle of it with me. If people really dig these then next time I will try to get audio from the venue and do a full audio mix. So Subscribe and share. Check out Mr. Sipp's website.

Check out for more blues videos.

This was my first time meeting/seeing Mr. Sipp and our schedules didn't allow for a long conversation. But a quick hello is all you need from him to see how genuine and nice this guy is. It also helps to put on a BIG TIME SHOW. Great performance by the whole band. Next time I see them live. I'm going to put the camera down and enjoy the show. Great folks making great music.

Also this guy needs to be on the next season Luke Cage. He would be dynamite singing in CottonMouth's Club.

PS- Some folks have asked. No it isn't a zoom lens. It's an antique Nikkor 50mm. So it's all manual focus and has a unique color profile. It's not my most expensive lens, but it's favorite. Sometimes the antiques are the best.
