    Lyrics:
Under the arc of a weather stain boards
    Ancient goblins and warlords
Come out of the ground, not making a sound
The smell of death is all around
And the night when the cold wind blows
    No one cares, nobody knows

I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again
I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again

Follow Victor to the sacred place
    This ain't a dream, I can't escape
Molars and fangs, the clicking of bones
    Spirits moaning among the tombstones
And the night, when the moon is bright
    Someone cries, something ain't right

I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again
I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again

The moon is full, the air is still
All of a sudden I feel a chill
Victor is grinning, flesh rotting away
Skeletons dance, I curse this day
And the night when the wolves cry out
Listen close and you can hear me shout

I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again
I don't wanna be buried in a pet sematary
I don't want to live my life again

    Oh no, oh no
I don't want to live my life not again, oh no, oh oh
I don't want to live my life not again, oh no no no
I don't want to live my life not again, oh oh

  • The Misfits - Last Caress

    1:58

The Misfits are an American rock band often recognized as the progenitors of the horror punk subgenre, blending punk rock and other musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. Founded in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey by singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig, the group had a fluctuating lineup during its first six years with Danzig and bassist Jerry Only as the only consistent members. During this time they released several EPs and singles and, with Only's brother Doyle as guitarist, the albums Walk Among Us (1982) and Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood (1983), both considered touchstones of the early-1980s hardcore punk movement. The Misfits disbanded in 1983 and Danzig went on to form Samhain and then Danzig. Several albums of reissued and previously unreleased material were issued after the group's dissolution, and their music became influential to punk rock, heavy metal, and alternative rock music of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

After a series of legal battles with Danzig, Only and Doyle regained the rights to record and perform as the Misfits. They formed a new version of the band in 1995 with singer Michale Graves and drummer Dr. Chud. This incarnation of the Misfits had a sound much more rooted in heavy metal and released the albums American Psycho (1997) and Famous Monsters (1999) before dissolving in 2000. Jerry Only then took over lead vocals and recruited former Black Flag guitarist Dez Cadena and former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone for a Misfits 25th Anniversary tour. This lineup released an album of cover songs entitled Project 1950 and toured for several years. In 2005 Ramone was replaced by Robo, who had played with Black Flag in the early 1980s and had also previously been the Misfits' drummer from 1982 to 1983. This lineup released a single titled Land of the Dead in 2009. The Misfits' current lineup of Only, Cadena, and drummer Eric Goat Arce plans to release a new album titled The Devil's Rain.

  • MISFITS: 5 Essential Albums That Practically Defined Punk

    6:44

    #Misfits #Danzig #JerryOnly

Oct. 19, 2019: The original Misfits—singer-songwriter Glenn Danzig, bassist Jerry Only and guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (with ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade, formerly of Joan Jett's Blackhearts) headlined NYC's Madison Square Garden over ’90s punk heroes Rancid and OG late ’70s Brit-punks the Damned.
The sold-out pre-Halloween celebration was a triumph on two levels. First, it would've been unthinkable in 1977 for any punk band to pack MSG, let alone headline it. And second, this was essentially the lineup that made classic LPs such as Walk Among Us and Earth A.D. (give or take a drummer or two and the second guitarist addition), thereby settling 30 years of acrimony and litigation.
The Misfits originally resembled a Ramones steeped in hours of Midnight Creature Feature reruns, and moldering EC Comics. Their early 45 RPM rippers (especially “Horror Business” and “Teenagers From Mars”) were some of the best of U.S. punk's second wave. Hardcore's acceleration of tempo and aggression gripped their debut LP, Walk Among Us, without sacrificing the well-crafted, melodic tunes Danzig was writing.
The thrash-o-holic ’corefest that was Earth A.D. was surely the record that had everyone from Metallica to Norwegian death metallers proclaiming the Misfits to be an influence. But the total package aspects of the band—look, stage show, graphic presentation—were surely noticed by ’00s garage acts such as the White Stripes and the Hives.
For listeners that may have seen the iconic band logo, but not heard the glorious music, we’ve got you. The essential Misfits canon can be summarized in the following LPs.

Check out the Spotify playlist featuring songs from these albums on this list.

    3:31

    FAMOUS MONSTERS
    Lyrics:
There's 52 ways to murder anyone
One or two are the same,
And they both work as well
    I'm coming clean for Amy,
    Julie doesn't scream as well
And the cops won't listen all night
And so maybe, maybe I'll be over
Just as soon as I fill them all in

And I can remember when I saw her last
We were running all around and having a blast
But the back seat of the drive-in
    Is so lonely without you
    I know when you're home
    I was thinking about you,
There was was something I forgot to say
I was crying on a Saturday night
I was out cruising without you,
    They were playing our song
    Crying on Saturday night

As the moon becomes the night time
    You go viciously, quietly away
    I'm sitting in the bedroom,
Where we used to sit and smoke cigarettes
Now I'm watching, watching you die

I can remember when I saw her last
We were running all around and having a blast
But the back seat of the drive-in
    Is so lonely without you
    I know when you're home
    I was thinking about you,
There was something I forgot to say
I was crying on a Saturday night

I was out cruising without you,
    They were playing our song
    Crying on Saturday night

    Crying on saturday night

  • Watch: Live at the Dojo | The Wicked Band of Misfits | Episode 26

    13:51

Atlanta has and will forever be a magnet for creatives and musicians alike.

The city has long since harbored many talented individuals, and shows no signs of stopping. Take the funky collective known as The Wicked Band of Misfits for example, as they grace Episode 26 of our Live at the Dojo miniseries.

Strewn from many a locale, The Wicked Band of Misfits is inspired by jazz, soul and Outkast. The band is comprised of guitarists Landon Jordan, Anthony Mancini, bassist Sean O’Keefe, and drummer Erik Aylesworth. Each of them have played with an impressive clientele of big-name artists like 6LACK, T-Pain, and Snoop Dogg, and their freakishly cohesive sound is the reason for their continued successes. If you have a minute or fifteen, peep the video above for a simply incredible jam session that we just can’t forget. Their synchronicity is impeccable and unspoken, and the end result is a journey that your ears won’t regret. We can’t wait to see what their highly-anticipated live album sounds like! LYRICS:

This is a Holy Ghost party song
Like when a prodigal come home
Like somethin’ been given that you couldn’t earn
Like being in Heaven when you shoulda burned

    This is a party song
Like when the prodigal come home
Like when lost things get returned
    Like innocence, like freedom

Break the bread, pour the wine
The Father’s arms are open wide
Break the bread, pour the wine
Ain’t nobody gonna sleep tonight, come on

    Cups up, we remember
    Hands up, we surrender
    Cups up, we remember
    Hans up, everybody sing

    La Luz
    Brighter than sunshine
    La Luz
We got the Light of the World in us

    La Luz
    Brighter than sunshine
    La Luz
    I’m burning like wildfire
    La Luz
    Breaking through the darkness
    La Luz
We got the Light of the World in us

Uh yeah, yeah, You kept me alive
    This a love I can’t describe
    Imma dance for my God
    Bachata merengue?
Shout to the fam k lo k mi gente
Don’t care what my friends say
I don’t wanna go if You don’t lead me
    You’re on the right-side interceding
    I got what I needed
God came down to bring freedom
His love for us is undefeated
    Whoo

    Una parrandita pal gente
    Caliente
    Halgo diferente
And the boys in the building
    Stamos presente
    Ahorra manos pal cielo
    Como se sienten

Que comience la fiesta ye celebración
Que me Dios se deliete en esta canción
Father’s arms open wide receiving me home
Been gone a long time, was lost on my own
    Pero nunca paraste de orar
To lo malo que yo ese botado en el mar
Remember them long nights I was pleading to God
Just to see another day and He kept me alive

A Texas-based singer/songwriter known for his wide-ranging fusion of pop, rock, folk, electronic, bluegrass, and hip-hop, David Crowder rose to success in the early 2000s as the leader of the church music group The David Crowder*Band. Over the next decade, the band racked up numerous Dove Awards for their inspirational rock sound, releasing popular albums like Illuminate (2003), Remedy (2007), and Give Us Rest (2012). Rebranding in 2012, simply as Crowder, the singer launched an equally successful, though more stylistically varied, solo career with albums like 2014’s Neon Steeple, 2016’s American Prodigal, and 2018’s I Know A Ghost.
