  • Max Webster - Battle Scar

Fantastic song from the album Universal Juveniles from 1980 by Max Webster. Altough it's credited as Max Webster, it guest stars all three memebers from Rush! With Kim Mitchell sharing vocals with Geddy Lee. You can tell too because the song has a Rush feel to it, definitely something all Rush fans should listen to.

I do not own the music (of course I bought the cd, vinyl and cassette, and recommend you to the same at least one of those!) and there is no copyright infringement intended. For entertainment/promotional purposes only. Enjoy the music! From the 1977 release by the Toronto band Max Webster. This song has always been special to me.

You are an original creation, celebrate, celebrate.
Moving me down to earth, moving me down to words.
Its just so damn easy for me to go,
You hold my line in fate.
You are murder you are mercy, black and white.
You attract, you repel, you are thunder, you are silence.
Riding me down to earth, face to face words to words.
Stealing the gaze for all its worth,
At the roads we trace, stars we paste
It was easy with my life on the line

Think I'm gonna settle down tonight
Say you've got me crying alright.
    Think I'll settle down tonight
'cause you did something, seem hazy almost goddess-like

    Riding me down to earth
Face to face, words to words
Stealing the gaze for all is worth
At the roads we traced, stars we gazed
It was easy with my life on the line

Think I'm gonna settle down tonight
Say you've got me crying alright.
    Think I'll settle down tonight
'Cause you did something, seem hazy almost goddess-like
'Cause you did something, seem hazy almost goddess-like

  • The Max Webster Movie - 1979

    22:26

This movie is transferred from a VHS tape I bought at a garage sale many years ago. The tape was simply labelled Max Webster Movie. My research shows (please let me know if it's incorrect so I can make changes) this was a Humber College movie project in 1979 by students Mike Cappa & Tony DiPasquale. Back then, it was done on 16 millimeter film; so it's been transferred a few times since, making the quality rather poor. Better poor footage, than none! Since I haven't seen this online anywhere, I thought I'd share this glimpse into the band Max Webster!
