  • Top 10 greatest classical composers of all time

My personal top 10 - feel free to leave a comment if you disagree with my choices.

  • 20 Names of classical composers with correct pronunciation

I am not native nor expert on any of the languages of this video, so don´t take this video as infallible. But I think it should be more accurate than those videos about some random guy trying to teach us how to pronounce these names.

And also, sorry for the bad quality on some of the audios, specially on russian names: it is the raw archive from google translator so blame google instead of me -_-

Pachelbel was a German composer, organist and teacher who brought the south German organ tradition to its peak. He composed a large body of sacred and secular music, and his contributions to the development of the chorale prelude and fugue have earned him a place among the most important composers of the middle Baroque era.

Pachelbel's music enjoyed enormous popularity during his lifetime; he had many pupils and his music became a model for the composers of south and central Germany. Today, Pachelbel is best known for the Canon in D, as well as the Chaconne in F minor, the Toccata in E minor for organ, and the Hexachordum Apollinis, a set of keyboard variations.

Pachelbel's music was influenced by southern German composers, such as Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Kaspar Kerll, Italians such as Girolamo Frescobaldi and Alessandro Poglietti, French composers, and the composers of the Nuremberg tradition. He preferred a lucid, uncomplicated contrapuntal style that emphasized melodic and harmonic clarity. His music is less virtuosic and less adventurous harmonically than that of Dieterich Buxtehude, although, like Buxtehude, Pachelbel experimented with different ensembles and instrumental combinations in his chamber music and, most importantly, his vocal music, much of which features exceptionally rich instrumentation. Pachelbel explored many variation forms and associated techniques, which manifest themselves in various diverse pieces, from sacred concertos to harpsichord suites

  • 10 Favorite Baroque Composers

A video containing music from my 10 favorite 'classical' composers. The list is only loosely in order from favorite to most favorite. Naturally, I have many many other favorite composers but when I thought off the top of my head which 10 composers I like most these 10 immediately popped in.

  • Top 25 composers of XX century

    5:17

My second list of 25 composers of 20th century, the first one was uploaded on my first channel 0707NicePlayer.
Well, i tried to make a complex list, with no limits, just as i feel it.
The top 3 is a personal opinion, obiouvsly Stravinsky is great, Debussy is a genius, but Schoenberg's system defined the musical way of the century, grace to him appeared many other major composers of xxth century as Stockhausen, Cage, Messiaen, that were related to his revolution.

The video is dedicated to my friend, elgarian497, Daniel Hogan, he has an amazing channel on youtube:

So you can see there lots of amazing videos.

Wait to see your comments :))

  • The most famous composers. 5: Vivaldi

    3:15

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (4 March 1678 -- 28 July 1741), nicknamed il Prete Rosso (The Red Priest) because of his red hair, was an Italian Baroque composer, priest, and virtuoso violinist, born in Venice. Recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, his influence during his lifetime was widespread over Europe. Vivaldi is known mainly for composing instrumental concertos, especially for the violin, as well as sacred choral works and over forty operas. His best known work is a series of violin concertos known as The Four Seasons.
Though Vivaldi's music was well received during his lifetime, it later declined in popularity until its vigorous revival in the first half of the 20th century. Today, Vivaldi ranks among the most popular and widely recorded of Baroque composers.

Gioacchino ( or Gioachino ) Antonio Rossini was an Italian composer who wrote 39 operas as well as sacred music, chamber music, songs, and some instrumental and piano pieces.
His best-known operas include the Italian comedies Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) and La Cenerentola, and the French-language epics Moïse et Pharaon and Guillaume Tell. A tendency for inspired, song-like melodies is evident throughout his scores, which led to the nickname The Italian Mozart.

  • The most famous composers. 4: Vivaldi

    2:54

  • The most famous composers. 3: Vivaldi

    10:21

  • Natalie Dessay - Italian Opera Arias

    23:32

Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi: Italian Opera Arias

Formerly specialising in roles that called for that special coloratura quality, her voice has matured and is ready to meet the different demands of the bel canto repertoire, that of the great Italian opera heroines. This is a much-awaited album, as it has been 3 years since Natalie has recorded a recital disc of great operatic arias, the last recital album being Amor, a programme of arias, lieder and scenes by Richard Strauss released in 2004. To accompany Natalie the first-rate baroque orchestra, the Concerto Köln, under the direction of Evelino Pidò, with whom Natalie has a special musical affinity. A very noteworthy asset to the famous aria of the Mad Scene (Lucia): the flute is here replaced by the glass harmonica, which accentuates the eeriness of the heroines downfall into folly. The album also features performances from Roberto Alagna, Karine Desayes, Matthew Rose and Franck Ferrari.
