This amazing concert brings together some of the true pioneers of rock 'n' roll music including Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino and B.B.King.
Recorded in Italy in 1989 it features these legendary artists in performance of their best loved tracks such as Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, Bo Diddley, Great Balls Of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Blueberry Hill.
At the end of the concert all the performers come together for all-star jam that leaves the audience hollering for more. It's a rare event indeed that brings so many great live performers together on one bill and this film captures the real excitement of the evening.

Please, Please, Please was written by James Brown and Johnny Terry and released as a single on Federal Records in 1956, it charted #6 R&B. It was the group's debut recording and first chart hit, and became their signature song.

The TAMI Show is a 1964 concert that included performances by numerous popular rock and roll and R&B musicians from the United States and England. TAMI stood for both Teenage Awards Music International and Teen Age Music International. The concert was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 28 and 29, 1964. Free tickets were distributed to local high school students. The best footage from each of the two concert dates was edited into the film, which was released on December 29, 1964. The TAMI Show is particularly well known for James Brown's performance featuring his legendary dance moves and explosive energy.

    James Brown performing It's A Man's Man's Man's World Live at The L'Olympia, Paris - November 25, 1967!

No one had the feelin' quite like James Brown did. From his early start singing in a prison gospel group, to his transformation into Soul Brother No. 1 in the late 1960s, to ultimately claiming the title of The Godfather Of Soul, James had the feelin'. And it was so real and so powerful that it jumped the color barrier and grabbed hold of black and white audiences alike.

The Godfather of Soul makes an appearance on the old Late Night with David Letterman on July 12, 1982. This is the best musical TV performance I've ever seen. This night Paul Shaffer and the fellas proved they really were The World's Most Dangerous Band!

This was the first piece of video I ever digitized. On the original upload I took the audio straight off the old VHS tape. On this one I've boosted the volume and added a light stereo effect to (hopefully) make it sound better across all devices.

This is the property of NBC, of course. I make no ownership claims to this fine video at all.

James Brown was not just a singer, but a talented songwriter, dancer, musician, record producer and bandleader. A progenitor of funk music and a major figure of 20th century popular music and dance, he is often referred to as the Godfather of Soul.
First coming to national public attention in the late 1950s as a member of the singing group The Famous Flames with the hit ballads Please, Please, Please and Try Me, Brown built a reputation as a tireless live performer with the Famous Flames and his backing band. His success peaked in the 1960s with the live album Live at the Apollo and hit singles such as Papa's Got a Brand New Bag, I Got You (I Feel Good) and It's a Man's Man's Man's World. Afterwards approaching to music-making that influenced the development of funk music. Brown continued to perform and record until his death from pneumonia in 2006. Brown has received honors from many institutions, including inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Truly a pioneer of rock n' roll and one of the greatest musicians of all time, I came up a list of his top 10 best songs, feel free to like, comment, and subscribe. More rock n' roll lists are coming soon.
