    Directed by Orie Mcginness

    Lyrics
    V.1)
Dead inside, I’ve lost my mind.
Trapped inside the ties that bind.
Waste away another day, Wish all the fear would fade away.
Just fade away-just fade away-just fade away

    CH.1)
So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.
So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.

    RE-Intro)
    (Scream) KILLING ME

    V.2)
I lie awake in my mistakes, failure lays with suffering.
On the edge I see my fate, another hole I can’t escape.
    I can’t escape-I can’t escape-I can’t escape

    CH.2)
So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.
So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.

    BRIDGE)
I see the cobwebs building up and my brain can’t take enough and I’d rather feel hate than love, and I’d rather feel hate than love.

I see the cobwebs building up and my brain can’t take enough and I’d rather feel hate than love

    SOLO

CH.3) So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.
    Me.
So bury me in a memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.

I’d rather feel hate than love. I’d rather feel hate than love. I’d rather feel hate than love, cause it’s killing me.

So bury me in memory of yesterday, cause it’s killing me.

    DIE ALONE LYRICS

It’s the end and I’m drowning
Is it too late for me to run
It hates me, it mocks me
And every day I curse this sunrise

    There’s nothing in the shadows
And you will be the one to die alone
    Forgive me when I fall
And I will be the one to die alone

Can you wash the rain away
    I can see the afterlife
It wants me, it haunts me
And every day I fear this sunrise

    There’s nothing in the shadows
And you will be the one to die alone
    Forgive me when I fall
And I will be the one to die alone

    For every broken soul
    For every broken faith
    For everything that’s died inside

    There’s nothing in the shadows
And you will be the one to die alone
    Forgive me when I fall
And I will be the one to die alone

    There’s nothing in the shadows
And you will be the one to die alone
    Forgive me when I fall
And I will be the one to die alone

    For every broken soul
    For every broken faith
    For everything that’s died inside

    ----------------------------------------------------------

'Die Alone' is basically a note I had written to myself a couple years ago, and it seemed to really fit the music, said frontman Howard Jones. We are more than excited to release our album Revival, and we all feel it's been worth every bit of the struggle to get it done. See you all soon on the road.

The Los Angeles, CA trio — the aforementioned Jones, Francesco Artusato [guitar], and Ryan Wombacher [bass] — drew from five years together as Devil You Know to forge a wholly distinct path. Amidst myriad struggles, they returned from the brink under a new name.

2016 was a really tough year for us as a band, both personally and professionally, explains Jones. While going through some lineup changes, we were also battling some issues with the use of our band name. At the same time, I was trying to deal with the loss of my oldest brother, which really hit me hard. During that time, we just bonded like never before. We all meshed because we faced war together. We survived. At the end, we realized we were a real band and decided to make an album representing that resilience. Honestly, we came out of the dark. The name literally signifies what we went through.

It was time for a change, the singer continues. It was time for us to try and stretch our wings. We were really going for songs. The structuring made more sense. I was focused on melody and harmony. I really cut loose. All in all, it was the perfect storm. We had so much fun making this, because there were really no restrictions other than creating a heavy and catchy body of work.

The Light the Torch lineup boasts one of the most esteemed pedigrees in modern heavy music. Jones spent a decade at the helm of GRAMMY® Award-nominated and gold-selling titans Killswitch Engage. Artusato had much-lauded stint in All Shall Perish and has attained status as a shred virtuoso. Wombacher was a staple in Bleeding Through for well over a decade. For Revival, they are joined by Extinction A.D. drummer Mike Scuzz Sciulara behind the kit.

The album artwork was designed by Artusato.

    LYRICS:

I can never be all that you want from me
I am broken I will fail you constantly

There's nothing left that we can say
    Nothing gold can ever stay
    It's easier to run away
It's easier to curse than pray

No sacrifice, now burn it at the altar

I can never be all that you want from me
I am broken I will fail you constantly
Return to the safety of disbelief

You want to lay your doubt aside
Faith has nowhere left to hide
I'm the one with hollow eyes
I'm the one you now despise

I can never be all that you want from me
And I am broken I will fail you constantly
Return to the way that you bleed for me
Return to the safety of disbelief

For you and all your dreams
    I feel nothing

And I am broken I will fail you constantly
Return to the way that you bleed for me
Return to the safety of disbelief

I can never be all that you want from me
And I am broken I will fail you constantly
Return to the safety of disbelief

I can never be all that you want from me
And I am broken I will fail you constantly
Return to the way that you bleed for me
Return to the safety of disbelief

For you and all your dreams
    I feel nothing

Hey Music Junkies, Professor of Rock , always here to celebrate the greatest artists and songs of all time; If you love the rock era subscribe below for daily features.

In 1985 Synth Pop extraordinaire Howard jones released the album Dream into Action. He had taken the UK charts by storm the year before, with his debut album Human’s Lib hitting number one and with the singles What is Love hitting #2 and New Song going to #3 Both song also made a dent in the US Hot 100 and HoJo was primed for breakout success in the states. My friends and I always called Howard Jones Ho Jo for short and I’ve heard fans all over use that nickname, but on one of our pieces a few months back I used that term and I had quite a few youtubers saying they had never heard that alias? Is it an American thing? I’m not sure. Anyway, as I was saying Dream Into Action was released by HoJo in 85 and has become a synth pop masterpiece with multiple hits that have endured. Like to get to know you well was the lead single and was Dedicated by HoJo to the original spirit of the Olympic games as it was released around the time of the 84 summer olympics. It was also used in the John Cusack film Better off Dead. It went to #4 on the Uk charts and received rampant radio play here in America. Then came the song that would put Howard over the top in the states. Things can only get better! The feel good sing along Chorus connected with listeners and Howard went all the way to the top 5 up there with the likes of Madonna and Prince. the next single from the album, Look Mama would chart in the top ten in the UK and get radio play in the US, though it’s wasn’t released as a single here. From there HoJo put out Life in One Day Hitting #19 on the Hot 100. All of these songs set the stage for Howard Jones biggest single. The National Anthem of the Ho Jo tribe. No One Is to Blame.

this song should’ve even a number one hit. For your information that week that No One is To Blame peaked at #4 on the hot 100, it was july 7 1986 to be exact. The top three songs above it were: Who’s Johnny by El Debarge at 3, Holding Back the YeARS by Simply Red and There’ll be Sad Songs (to make you cry) by billy Ocean. As Howard said in the interview, had Electra records not been in a dispute, No One Is to blame might’ve been #1. Leave us a comment about this synth pop classic what do you remember about the time it was on the radio. You can get a howard jones shirt or his music below by clicking on our Amazon links. I love you whether or not you love me
I love you even if you think that I don't
Sometimes I find you doubt my love for you
    But I don't mind
    Why should I mind
    Why should I mind

    What is love anyway
    Does anybody love anybody anyway
    What is love anyway
    Does anybody love anybody anyway

Can anybody love anyone so much that they will never fear
    Never worry never be sad
The answer is they cannot love this much nobody can
This is why I don't mind you doubting

    What is love anyway
    Does anybody love anybody anyway
    What is love anyway
    Does anybody love anybody anyway

And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be
The door always must be left unlocked
To love when circumstance may lead someone away from you
And not to spend the time just doubting

    What is love anyway

About A-Sides with Jon Chattman (thisisasides.com)
Jon Chattman's music/entertainment series typically features celebrities and artists (established or not) from all genres performing a track, and discussing what it means to them. This informal series focuses on the artist making art in a low-threatening, extremely informal (sometime humorous) way. No bells, no whistles -- just the music performed in a random, low-key setting followed by an unrehearsed chat. In an industry where everything often gets overblown and over manufactured, Jon strives for a refreshing change. Artists featured on the series include Imagine Dragons, Melissa Etheridge, Yoko Ono, Elle King, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, fun, Bleachers, Charli XCX, Marina and the Diamonds, and Bastille.
