    Worship video

Jesus Culture is an international Christian revivalist youth outreach ministry based at the Bethel Church of Redding, California. Jesus Culture Ministry hosts conferences and operates a record label, Jesus Culture Music, to share its message and spread worship.

    History:
Jesus Culture began in the summer of 1999, when the youth group at Bethel Church in Redding, California, led by youth pastor Banning Liebscher, launched the first Jesus Culture conference. The ministry has been called one of the most significant Christian movements in post-war America.

According to Jesus Culture's website, The heart of these gatherings was to serve other churches and lead young people to experience the radical love of God.

    Jesus Culture Music:
Jesus Culture Music is the music label for the Jesus Culture Ministry. Its albums feature the worship of the Jesus Culture band, performing a mix of original and cover songs.

Youth worship leaders Kim Walker-Smith, Melissa How and Chris Quilala, long active with the youth group at Bethel Church in Redding, became the core of the Jesus Culture band. Jesus Culture states the purpose of music in their movement is to ignite revival in the nations of the earth... compel the Body of Christ to radically abandon itself to a lifestyle of worship... and... encounter His extravagant love and raw power.

Since 2006, the band has released a number of albums on the Jesus Culture Music label. Their 2011 album, Awakening (Live From Chicago), appeared at #133 on the Canadian music charts.[6] The album was reviewed by Christianity Today, who critiqued that ...amps of staggering sound leave little room for thoughtful reflection or deliberate contemplation...

    I'm after Your heart
Why should I be still when the worship starts, Lord
I'm so in love with You
What can men do? Can't hold me back anymore

You spin over me and You are pleased
When I spend myself on You
I'm gonna let go now really worship
    Letting my dance come forth

    Dance, dance
    Let the Spirit move you
    Dance, dance
    Holy Spirit in You

    Turned my mourning into dancing
    My heart is overjoyed
    I will praise You

You healed my body and You made me new
    My heart is overjoyed
    I will dance for You

Gave me love that broke down fear
My heart is full of joy, I will sing to You
My heart overjoyed, I will praise
I will dance, I will sing for You

The creation of the People and Folks Nations can be accredited to Chicago, and was well known for organized crime syndicates in the past. Street gangs are a secret underground culture and the gangs are not limited to gender, race, culture, or neighborhood.

Backstory - OK so i picked this up at our local summerfest when Stonehenge played here in 1999. I was 14 at the time, not even in high school yet (damn i feel old now lol) and was my 1st metal 'show' ever actually. Stonehenge was a pretty well known band in the area at that time, and the drummer, Scott Davidson was (is still, i should say) also the owner/ dj at Rebel Radio which is an underground metal station that came on from 10pm-6am on fm (then 12am-4am on am and now they're online only but still alive). Anyhow, Scott was fortunate enough to have the means to try and get our smaller bands some exposure with radio airplay (back before the internet that was a huge deal!) and eventually they came up with the idea for sampler discs of these smaller bands, through JEM Records (whom Stonehenge were signed to at the time) and Subculture magazine, and i believe this was the final release of the Culture Shock series. They gave these discs out like candy at Stonehenge shows, so it's surprising there's no info about any of these discs on metal archives or the internet in general. Some of the bands aren't even on MA themselves. But they existed, and sure, not all the bands are that great (just my opinion, i'm sure you can tell what i don't like lol) but there is actually some pretty cool stuff here and there. Makes me feel super nostalgic hearing this again. I'm posting this more as a throwback for all the other Chicago metalheads that grew up on Rebel Radio mid-late 90's or maybe someone will find their old band here or maybe you just want to hear some underground metal. Oh and 1 side note, i have the original cover art but it got ruined when my basement flooded years ago but i recently found the back art intact, so that's all i've got to post as a cover. Enjoy

The GWADLOUP INTERNATIONAL DAY™ of Chicago 2012 is the flagship program of the Gwadloup International Festival of the Arts, and is presented by Global Music Network France.

This year, the French West Indian Island of Guadeloupe (pronounced Gwadloup in Antillean Creole) will be a special guest at the 23rd African Festival of the Arts.

It is a world-premiere and a unique event that will stamp Guadeloupe's distinctive cultural footprint in the celebrated multicultural heritage of Chicago.

...Our ambition to contribute, to export and value the richness of the Guadeloupean culture across the globe, fully reinforces our commitment to promote Diversity and Cultural Exchange. Our traditions and culture are very rich...It is imperative that we continue expressing it around the world... Glawdys N'Dee -- Founder/Cultural Ambassador.
