    Herb Alpert - Rise

    7:30

Rise is a song written by Andy Armer and Randy Badazz Alpert, and first recorded by trumpeter Herb Alpert. The instrumental track was included on Alpert's solo album Rise and released as a single in 1979. It reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in October of that year and remained in the top position for two weeks. Herb Alpert thus became the first (and only) artist to reach the top of the Hot 100 with a vocal performance (This Guy's in Love with You, 1968) as well as an instrumental performance. Rise also spent one week atop the adult contemporary chart. Rise was successful on the other charts: It peaked at number four on the soul chart, and number seventeen on the disco chart. The recording also received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

    6:13

Cream - White Room live at Royal Albert Hall, London.
    May 2, 3, 5, 6. 1080p
    17 of 22

In May of 2005 Cream returned to London's Royal Albert Hall-to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades. This DVD documents Cream's momentous London shows. Performances from each of the four nights are featured and much more. Also included are alternate performances and interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton. Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.

    My love
There's only you in my life
    The only thing that's right
    Oh yeah

    My first love (yeah)
You're every breath that I take
    You're every step I make

    (Oh)
    And I
    (And I)
    I want to share
All my love with you, hey yeah
    No-one else will do (mh)
And your eyes (your eyes, your eyes)
They tell me how much you care
    Oh, yes
    You will always be
    My endless love
    Oh yeah

Luther Vandross was a musical master whose style has influenced an entire generation of today's vocalists. His distinctive brand of satin smooth vocal magic moved international audiences and continues to touch people to this day.
