    Lyrics:

Two young people without a thing
Say some vows and spread their wings
Settle down with justwhat they need
    Livin' on love

She don't care 'bout what's in style
She just likes the way he smiles
It takes more than marble and tile
    Livin' on love

Livin' on love, buyin' on time
Without somebody nothing ain't worth a dime
Just like an old fashion story book rhyme
    Livin' on love
It sounds simple, that's what you're thinkin'
But love can walk through fire without blinkin'
It doesn't take much when you get enough
    Livin' on love

Remember when I was young and so were you
and time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
    Remember when

Remember when we vowed the vows
    and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt

    Lyrics:

Born the middle son of a farmer
And a small town Southern man
Like his daddy's daddy before him
Brought up workin' on the land
Fell in love with a small town woman
And they married up and settled down
Natural way of life if you're lucky
For a small town Southern man

First there came four pretty daughters
For this small town Southern man
Then a few years later came another
    A boy, he wasn't planned
    Seven people livin' all together
In a house built with his own hands
Little words with love and understandin'
From a small town Southern man

And he bowed his head to Jesus
And he stood for Uncle Sam
And he only loved one woman
(He) was always proud of what he had
    He said his greatest contribution
Is the ones you leave behind
Raised on the ways and gentle kindness
Of a small town Southern man
(Raised on the waysand gentle kindness)
(Of a small town Southern man)

  • Alan Jackson - Dont Close Your Eyes

    4:18

Alan Jackson is an American country music singer, known for blending traditional honky tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits. He has recorded 14 studio albums, 3 Greatest Hits albums, 2 Christmas albums, 2 Gospel albums and several compilations, all on the Arista Nashville label. More than 50 of his singles have appeared on Billboard's list of the Top 30 Country Songs. Of Jackson's entries, 35 were number-one hits, with 50 in the Top 10. He is the recipient of 2 Grammys, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards and nominee of multiple other awards. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001. Jackson has sold more than 60 million records worldwide.

After country music changed toward pop music in the 2000s, he and George Strait criticized the state of country music on the song Murder on Music Row. The song sparked debate in the country music community about whether or not traditional country music was actually dead or not.[11] Despite the fact that the song was not officially released as a single, it became the highest-charting nonseasonal album cut (not available in any retail single configuration or released as a promotional single to radio during a chart run) to appear on Hot Country Singles & Tracks in the Broadcast Data Systems era, beating the record previously held by Garth Brooks' Belleau Wood.
Alan Jackson has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

    Lyrics:

Cowboys don't cry, and heroes don't die
Good always wins, again and again
And love is a sweet dream, that always comes true
Oh if life were like the movies, I'd never be blue

But here in the real world, it's not that easy at all
'Cause when hearts get broken, it's real tears that fall
And darlin' it's sad but true, but the one thing I've learned from you
Is how the boy don't always get the girl, here in the real world

    Lyrics:

It was painted red the stripe was white
It was 18 feet from the bow to stern light
Secondhand from a dealer in Atlanta
I rode up with daddy when he went there to get her
We put on a shine, put on a motor
Built out of love, and made for the water
Ran her for years, til' the transom got rotten
A piece of my childhood will never be forgotten

It was just an old plywood boat
With a 75 Johnson with electric choke
A young boy two hands on the wheel
I can't replace the way it made me feel
And I would turn her sharp
And I would make it whine
He'd say, You can't beat the way a old wood boat rides
Just a little lake cross the Alabama line
But I was king of the ocean
    When Daddy let me drive

The sun is hot and that old clock is movin' slow,
    An' so am I.
Work day passes like molasses in wintertime,
    But it's July.
I'm gettin' paid by the hour, an' older by the minute.
My boss just pushed me over the limit.
I'd like to call him somethin',
I think I'll just call it a day.

She looked me in the eye and said it's over
I can't take this heartache, anymore
She said don't tell me lies and try to please me
I've heard it all so many times before

And I took her by the arm and said don't leave me
There's nothin' in this world, I wouldn't do
Just give me time, I'll be the man you've needed
She said I wish that I could take that, for the truth

And I said someday, I'll get my life straight
And she said it's too late, what's done is done
And I told her someday, she said I can't wait
'Cause sometimes someday, just never comes

Now she worries cause she never thought

    Livin' that honky tonk dream

    LYRICS:

    Oh Lord my God
    When I in awesome wonder
    Consider all the worlds
    Thy hands have made
    I see the stars
    I hear the rolling thunder
    Thy power throughout
    The universe displayed
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great thou art
    How great thou art
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great Thou art
    How great Thou art
And when I think of God,
    His son not sparing,
    Sent Him to die,
    I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden
gladly bearing He bled and died
    to take away my sin
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great thou art
    How great thou art
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great Thou art
    How great Thou art
    When Christ shall come
    With shout of acclamation
    And take me home
What joy shall fill my heart
    Then I shall bow
    With humble adoration
    And then proclaim My God
    How great Thou art
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great Thou art
    How great Thou art
    Then sings my soul
    My Savior, God, to Thee
    How great Thou art
    How great Thou art

She's been playing in a room on the strip for ten years in Vegas
Every night she looks in the mirror and she only ages
She's been readin' about Nashville and all the records that everybody's buying
Says, I'm a simple girl myself, grew up on Long Island

So she packs her bags to try her hand
Says this might be my last chance

She's gone country, look at them boots
She's gone country, back to her roots
She's gone country, a new kind of suit
She's gone counrty, here she comes

Home is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Alan Jackson. The song was originally recorded by him on his 1990 debut album Here in the Real World. The original 1989 recording served as the B-side to three of Jackson's singles: his debut single Blue Blooded Woman, as well as his first two Number One hits I'd Love You All Over Again and Don't Rock the Jukebox.[1]

Jackson included Home in 1995 for his first Greatest Hits package, The Greatest Hits Collection. The song served as the B-side to that album's first two singles, Tall, Tall Trees and I'll Try before it was issued in 1996 as the album's third single. In mid-1996, Home reached a peak of number 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts.

    Content
It is a moderate up-tempo song in which Jackson recalls his and his parents' upbringing as a child in the state of Georgia. Jackson said it was written the first month he moved to Nashville because he was homesick.

Here in the Real World is the debut studio album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. It was released on February 27, 1990, and produced five singles: Blue Blooded Woman, Here in the Real World, Wanted, Chasin' That Neon Rainbow, and I'd Love You All Over Again, Jackson's first Number One hit.

The track Home served as the B-side for several of Jackson's later singles, before he re-released the song in 1995 for his The Greatest Hits Collection album, and finally issued it as a single in 1996.

    Well I'm a-gonna raise a fuss, I'm a-gonna raise a holler
About a-workin' all summer just to try an' earn a dollar
Everytime I call my baby, to try to get a date
My boss says, No dice, son, you gotta work late
Sometimes I wonder what I'm gonna do
Cause there ain't no cure for the summertime blues

Well my mom 'n' papa told me, Son, you gotta make some money
If you wanna use the car to go ridin' next Sunday
Well, I didn't go to work, told the boss I was sick
Now you can't use the car 'cause you didn't work a lick
Sometimes I wonder what I'm gonna do
Cause there ain't no cure for the summertime blues

I've finally put some effort in. Alan Jackson's splendid contribution to the 2007 movie, Billy: The Early Years with lyrics! Yah, I'm a dude and I think this song is beautiful...

This song is the property of Arista Nashville, which is now property of Sony. I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO IT OR WISH TO PROFIT FROM IT IN ANYWAY! It's sole purpose is to be shared with the world and make people cry. Besides nobody bought the soundtrack anyway.

    Lyrics:

Midnight in Montgomery, silver eagle, lonely road
I was on my way to Mobile, for a big New Year's Eve show
I stopped for just a minute, to see a friend outside of town
Put my collar up, I found his name, and felt the wind die down

And a drunk man in a cowboy hat took me by surprise
Wearing shiny boots, a Nudi suit, and haunting haunted eyes
He said friend it's good to see you, it's nice to know you care
Then the wind picked up and he was gone, was he ever really there

George Jones And Friends 50th Anniversary Tribute Concert 2007
    Label: New West Records ‎
    Release Date DVD: 2007

In 2004, George Jones celebrated 50 years as a country music legend with a tribute concert recorded for PBS's SOUNDSTAGE program. Hosted by Reba McEntire, the concert presents live performances of Jones's greatest hits by 20 country luminaries, including Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Kenny Chesney, and Martina McBride.

(I'm a) One-Woman Man is a song co-written by American country music artist Johnny Horton and Tillman Franks. It was originally released as a single by Horton in 1956, whose version peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The song was twice recorded by American country music artist George Jones: first released on the album The Crown Prince of Country Music retitled One Woman Man in 1960, and later as I'm a One Woman Man released in November 1988 as the first single from his album One Woman Man. It peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in early 1989 and it would be his final Top 10 solo hit. His final appearance on the Top-10 country singles chart arrived a year later as part of a duet recording with Randy Travis. In spite of the lack of radio hits as the 1990s dawned Jones remained a popular concert draw for the next two decades and continued to release original recordings into the mid 2000s.

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

This is the house where Alan & Family lived in for 17 year: Sweetbriar Estate -

Everything I Love is the sixth studio album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. It was released on October 29, 1996 and produced six singles for Jackson on the Hot Country Songs charts: the Number One hits Little Bitty and There Goes, Top Ten hits in the title track, Between the Devil and Me, and Who's Cheatin' Who (a cover of Charly McClain's #1 song from 1980), and the #18 A House with No Curtains, his first single since 1989's Blue Blooded Woman to miss the Top Ten. It is the only album of Jackson's career to produce six singles.

A House with No Curtains is a song co-written and recorded by American country music singer Alan Jackson. It was released in January 1998 the sixth single from his album Everything I Love. The song had previously been the B-side to the album's fourth single There Goes.[1] Jackson wrote the song with Jim McBride. It peaked at #18 on Billboard's Hot Country Tracks chart, breaking a streak of 27 consecutive singles by Jackson that had peaked in the top 10 of that chart.

    Content
The song is about a couple that stays together even though they are not happy. They still pretend that they are doing fine together for others to see, but everyone knows that it isn't working out between them.

What I Do is the twelfth studio album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. It was released on September 7, 2004, and produced four singles for Jackson on the Hot Country Songs charts: Too Much of a Good Thing and Monday Morning Church both reached #5, while The Talkin' Song Repair Blues and USA Today both reached #18. What I Do, however, was the first album of his career not to produce any #1 hits.

The Wrights, a duo composed of Adam and Shannon Wright (the former of whom is Jackson's nephew) are featured as background vocalists on If Love Was a River, which they also co-wrote. Adam Wright also wrote the track Strong Enough.

Giving the album all four stars, People magazine said on the album that Jackson continues to sound more and more like Merle Haggard, which is tantamount to approaching perfection.

Alan Eugene Jackson (born October 17, 1958) is an American country singer and songwriter. He is known for honoring a “traditional country” musical style, and for penning many of his own songs. Jackson has recorded 16 studio albums, three greatest hits albums, two Christmas albums, and two gospel albums.

He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 by Loretta Lynn and into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018.

    Early life
Jackson was born to Joseph Eugene Daddy Gene Jackson (1927–2000) and Ruth Musick Mama Ruth Jackson (1930–2017) in Newnan, Georgia, and has four older siblings. He, his father, mother, and sisters lived in a small home built around his grandfather's old toolshed. The family is primarily of English descent. At one point, his bed was in the hallway for lack of room. His mother lived in the home until she died on January 7, 2017. Jackson sang in church as a child. His first job, at 12, was in a shoe store. He wrote his first song in 1983.

As a youth, Jackson listened primarily to gospel music, but otherwise he was not a major music fan until a friend introduced him to the music of Gene Watson, John Anderson, and Hank Williams Jr. Jackson attended the local Elm Street Elementary and Newnan High School, and started a band after graduation. When he was 27, Jackson and his wife of six years, Denise, moved from Newnan to Nashville, where he hoped to pursue music full-time.

When Somebody Loves You is the ninth studio album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. It was released on November 7, 2000, and produced the singles Where I Come From, When Somebody Loves You, and It's Alright to Be a Redneck. Critical reception to the album was pretty positive. Allmusic gave the album four out of five stars, saying Jackson gets a vote not only for holding on to the tradition but because he is able to articulate its heart in a heartless age. While People found the album innocuous enough and mildly amusing, ultimately the reviewer found it a waste of one of the most distinctive voices in country music.

Thank God for the Radio is a 1984 single by The Kendalls. Thank God for the Radio was The Kendalls' third and last number one country hit. The single went to number one for one week and spent a total of twelve weeks on the country chart.

Who I Am is the fifth studio album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. The album was released on June 28, 1994 via Arista Records. It features the Number One singles Summertime Blues, Gone Country, Livin' on Love, and I Don't Even Know Your Name, and the #6-peaking Song for the Life.

Several of this album's tracks had been recorded by other artists, including two of the singles: Summertime Blues is a cover of the pop standard made famous by Eddie Cochran, while Song for the Life was recorded by several artists, including writer Rodney Crowell, whose version can be found on his 1977 debut Ain't Living Long Like This. In addition, Thank God for the Radio was a Number One hit in 1984 for The Kendalls from their album Movin' Train. Jackson re-recorded Let's Get Back to Me and You for his 2013 release, The Bluegrass Album.

Jackson has sold over 80 million records, with 66 titles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Of the 66 titles, and six featured singles, 38 have reached the top five and 35 have claimed the number one spot. Out of 15 titles to reach the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, nine have been certified multi-platinum. He is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards and nominee of multiple other awards. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
