  • The Black Dahlia Murder - Receipt - Alan Cassidy ONE TAKE LIVE PLAYTHROUGH

    3:44

I USE SWIVEL TECHNIQUE. sorry this isnt professional at all. i wasn't paying attention to the screen on the camera to see that this was blurred and also i have no recording equipment but i'm getting ready for tour and since Abysmal just came out i figured I'd use my girlfriendsT6i video features to just record the room sound and video. i just have the PA speakers on for the kick triggers. i also edited this with Imovie cause i am also without a good editing program at the moment so with its limited ability to push the song into just the right spot with the drums its just slightly off from me but i figure its close enough. you'll all see it on tour any way.

  • Cassidy Mackenzie & Angemi - Compass

    3:32

    Stream/Download 'Compass' here:

Following success of ‘Garden Of Madness’ back in August, featuring label bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Italian DJ/producer Angemi makes his return to Smash The House, this time recruiting Nashville songstress Cassidy Mackenzie for their debut collab ‘Compass’. The single is set for release November 1st, and will mark Pop/EDM hybrid Cassidy Mackenzie’s first feature on Dimitri & Mike’s widely accommodating electronic label.

Kicking off with a guitar-flecked acoustic melody, Cassidy Mackenzie’s Nashville roots are brought to the fore, before Angemi’s signature “festival future bass” sound drives the energy towards a space more fitting for electronic dance music. With the track’s conclusion featuring warmer dubstep-like synths, punctuated by Mackenzie’s radio-ready lead vocal, this pioneering duo are absolutely successful in creating a track which exists in the bankable tension between pop music and EDM.

With Mackenzie’s last and breakthrough single ‘Wish’ showcasing her unique blend of pop, RnB and EDM, and Angemi’s last Smash The House single ‘Garden of Madness’ finding mainstage plays at the likes of Tomorrowland, Big City Beats, and Summerburst festivals this summer, it comes as no surprise that the track in question aims headfirst for audiences in their masses.

  • Alan Cassidy - Unused MC Chris Demo Raw Audio Drum Track Song 2 of 2

    3:00

So 2014 I went to warped tour in Detroit the year after we were on and met MC Chris at the after show bbq. I did a meatwad impression for him to break the ice, probably the 5th for him of the day, but I talked to him about being a fan of his voice acting, music career, and humor. We exchanged numbers and a few months later he hit me up asking if I’d like to contribute to his next album (2015) to which I said yes of course. These are my demo drum parts that would have been on the last album but for certain reasons weren’t used. One was a cool ghostly sounding 16 bit hip hop sounding song with the laid back beat (other song) then a metal song (this video) that had action game synth melody and a fucking 260 bomb blast in the programmed demo! I won’t post the actual songs in case he uses them but he's given me permission to post what was going to be the drum beats for the songs. It was fun to get a chance to play something that was outside the norm for me but I was glad I got to stay in my element too with the metal song Hoping to collab with him again in the future. #mcchris #fettsvette #nerdrap #nerdgirl #drums #hiphop #mcpeepants #sirloin

    8:02

A lot of people don't know that I joined Slugdge (Slug-Juh)(Willowtip Records) back in April 2018 right after their latest album Esoteric Malacology (which this song is off of) came out in March of that year. (I'm still very much apart of TBDM)

This album and all other albums from the band have utilized programmed drums and this is the first time they have ever had a drummer or bassist in the band or done a performance of any of the material.

again, this is just a play through of something that was already written by the original band members so i'm just playing the parts (moat, the bassist, has written some of his own bass lines for this song).

if you like it check us out on Spotify, Bandcamp, Youtube, you know. google us or something.

  • The Breathing Process - Alan Cassidy - Dear Antigone

    4:18

dear antigone. sorry the audio quality still sucks. played from memory so i could hear myself better so its not flawlessly synced (in time length) to the recorded song i tried to make the drums as accurate to the song as possible. i used a kick trigger but it was coming through an amp and not being directly recorded into the camera or onto a computer so the kick is muddy but is still on time with the runs.

Donald Eugene Ulrich (August 15, 1941 – July 17, 1974), best known by the stage name Don Rich, was a country musician who helped develop the Bakersfield sound in the early 1960s. He was a noted guitarist and fiddler, and a member of The Buckaroos, the backing band of country singer Buck Owens. Rich was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1974 at the age of 32.

The son of Buck Owens and Bonnie Owens and stepson of Merle Haggard, Alan recorded four albums for Capitol Records in the 1970s. Lyrics:
    I was riding the prairie
When out of the blue I could see
    There were two dozen Indians
Starting to close up on me
There was no place I could run
And I never carry a gun
    So I cried for help
    And along came Hop-Along-Cassidy,
    Maverick, and Billy The Kidd
I'd have been lost if they hadn't
    Shown up as they did
And there was even Doc Holiday,
    Buffalo Bill, Jesse James
    And three hundred cavalry
But I can't remember their names
I was safe in my cabin
And thinking of going to bed
    When an Indian tomahawk
Stuck in the wall by my head
I looked through the window and saw
There were three thousand Indians or more
    So I cried for help
    And along came Hop-Along-Cassidy,
    Maverick, and Billy The Kidd
I'd have been lost if they hadn't
    Shown up as they did
And there was even Doc Holiday,
    Buffalo Bill, Jesse James
    And three hundred cavalry
But I can't remember their names
But one day I was caught and
Was taken to see Running Bear
But we got on so well that
He told me that I could stay there
    And according to Indian law
I could have me a choice of a squaw
    I needed no help!
    But along came Hop-Along-Cassidy,
    Maverick, and Billy The Kidd
I'd have been fine if they hadn't
    Shown up as they did
And there was even Doc Holiday,
    Buffalo Bill, Jesse James
    And three hundred cavalry
But I can't remember their names
