A R Rahman yesterday (11-12-2010) performed at Norway in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert honoring this year's winner Liu Xiaobo, alongside the likes of veterans like Herbie Hancock.

ARR played two tracks from the soundtrack that gave him worldwide recognition, Slumdog Millionaire. First was Escape, the one which had featured some amazing sitar playing by Asad Khan, only yesterday Rahman conjured up a much more haunting improvised version of the track! The second one was Jai Ho, Rahman singing the song alongside Shweta Pandit and Tanvi Shah to a dance performance

  • AR Rahmans Unbelievable Live Concert Without Musical Instruments

    13:11

    A. R. Rahman Uses Intel’s Curie-Based Technology To Make Music Out Of Thin Air At CES 2016

Indian musical maestro A R Rahman had a special surprise in store for the audience at Intel’s keynote at Consumer Electronic Show 2016 at Las Vegas. The Oscar winner even tried his hands on the Intel Curie, a tiny hardware unit for wearable devices.
The technology was introduced by Intel in the past year, and the company shall begin shipping the same by the end of March 2016 for a meager $10.

Watch A R Rahman use Intel curie to transform his delicate fingertips into guitar. This is a great example of how technology can be meshed with genius to produce something this great! i love to see artists use this technology to create more such masterpieces.

AR RaHMaN`z JaNa GaNa MaNa... artistz from all over India sing JaNa GaNa MaNa in one accord...

    JaNa GaNa MaNa - (translation)

O! Dispenser of India's destiny, thou art the ruler of the minds of all people...

Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, the Maratha country,
    in the Dravida country, Utkala and Bengal;

It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,

It mingles in the rhapsodies of the pure waters of Yamuna and the Ganges.

    They chant only thy name.

They seek only thy auspicious blessings.

They sing only the glory of thy victory.

The salvation of all people waits in thy hands,

O! Dispenser of India's destiny, thou art the ruler of the minds of all people...

Victory to thee, Victory to thee,
Victory, Victory, Victory, Victory to thee!
