    3:13

A-ha (stylized a-ha; Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈɑːhɑ]) was a Norwegian pop band formed in Oslo in 1982. The band was founded by Morten Harket (vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards) and Pål Waaktaar (guitars). The group initially rose to fame during the mid-1980s after being discovered by musician and producer John Ratcliff, and had continued global success in the 1990s and 2000s.

A-ha achieved their biggest success with their debut album, Hunting High and Low, in 1985. That album peaked at number 1 in their native Norway, number 2 in the UK, and number 15 on the U.S. Billboard album chart; yielded two international number-one singles, Take on Me and The Sun Always Shines on T.V.; and earned the band a Grammy Award nomination as Best New Artist. In the UK, Hunting High and Low continued its chart success into the following year, becoming one of the best-selling albums of 1986. (

The first version of the song Take on Me, released in 1984, was promoted by a now-rare video of the band performing the song in front of a blue background.

This video for Summer Moved On was the first release from a-ha in more than 6 years, appearing on a new album for the first time in 7 years. The song was hastily written after the band agreed to a one-time reunion at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 1998. There had been a lot of bad feelings between the band members, and each was hesitant to reunite. The thunderous success at the concert in performing only 2 songs inspired the band to reunite after a 4 year hiatus to record their sixth album for release in 2000.

  • a-ha - Forever Not Yours

    4:00

Watch the official video for Forever Not Yours by a-ha.

Forever Not Yours is the first single from the a-ha album Lifelines, released in 2002.
The video, filmed in Cuba, is thematically based on the Biblical floods and Noah's Ark.
There are many famous faces entering the 'VIP entrance' in this video, including look-a-likes for Desmond Tutu, Lenny Kravitz, and Elizabeth II.
In the final scene, A-ha once again makes fun of themselves: the VIP entrance turns out to be an entrance to a work hall for the crew.
Morten: 'Forever Not Yours' is one of those songs that sums us up. Melancholy, and at the same time uplifting - soaring.

The subject of the video for Manhattan Skyline is newsprint. The words on the newspaper at the end of the video, Palme-saken nær en løsning? translates as Palme case nearly solved? and was a real headline from the time discussing a still-unsolved murder of former prime minister of Sweden.
