0:58 | Child In Time (The riff) - Inspiration. Gillan tells about.
2:20 | Burn (The opener) - Bullshit, cause it doesn´t sound similar.
3:06 | Burn (The riff) - Maybe. Clever inspiration, if so.
    3:36 | Fireball - The one/only song, that´s obviously partly stolen.
4:19 | SOTW (The riff) - Either an inspiration or by chance.

    You like attention
    I find it obvious
She makes it obvious for me
    She feels the tension
It’s just the two of us
It’s just the two of us tonight

Burn me down til I’m nothing but memories
I get it girl (I get it girl)
    I get it girl

Burn me down til I’m nothing but memories
I get it girl (I get it girl)
    I’m not the one

Bother me, tell me awful things

Helps me get through this without you

Bother me, tell me awful things
You know I love it when you move that on me
Love it when you do that on me

Don’t you turn your back on me
Let your teardrops fall on me
    Speeding away
    The city in the rearview
Heart racing whenever I’m near you
    Goth boi jumpin’ off stage
Carry me away, carry me away
Burn me down til there’s nothing left
    I would scream your name
    With my last breath
    Take off your favorite dress
Lay your head on my chest
    Diamonds rubies and gems
You can have all of them

Bother me, tell me awful things
You know I love it when you do that
Helps me get through this without you

Bother me, tell me awful things

    • Michael Davis: Bass ~ († February 17, 2012) R.I.P.
    • Dennis Machinegun Thompson: Drums

MC5: A True Testimonial, also written as MC5★ A True Testimonial, is a 2002 feature-length documentary film about the MC5, a Detroit-based rock band of the 1960's and early 1970's.

MC5☆ was an American rock band from Lincoln Park, Michigan, formed in 1964.

The original band line-up consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists
Wayne Kramer and Fred Sonic Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson. Crystallizing the counterculture movement at its most volatile and threatening, according to AllMusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine, the MC5's leftist political ties and anti-establishment lyrics and music positioned them as emerging innovators of the punk movement in the United States. Their loud, energetic style of back-to-basics rock and roll included elements of garage rock, hard rock, blues rock, and psychedelic rock.

MC5☆ had a promising beginning which earned them a January 1969 cover appearance in Rolling Stone and a story written by Eric Ehrmann before their debut album was released. They developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances, one of which was recorded as their 1969 debut album Kick Out the Jams. Their initial run was short-lived, though. In 1972, just three years after their debut record, the band came to an end. MC5 was often cited as one of the most important American hard rock groups of their era.

Their three albums are regarded by many as classics, and their song Kick Out the Jams is widely covered.

Tyner died of a heart attack in late 1991 at the age of 46. Smith also died of a heart attack, in 1994 at the age of 45. The remaining three members of the band reformed in 2003 with The Dictators' singer Handsome Dick Manitoba as its new vocalist, and this reformed line-up occasionally performed live over the next nine years until Davis died of liver failure in February 2012 at the age of 68. MC5☆ were nominated for the ock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2002, 2016 and 2018.

This film was produced by Laurel Legler and directed by David C. Thomas; the couple spent more than seven years working on the project.

Although the MC5☆ are considered very influential today, they were relatively obscure in their time. To make the film, Thomas collected photographs and film clips of varying quality, including U.S. government surveillance footage of the MC5's performance at the protests that took place outside the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. He interviewed the surviving members of the band and people closely associated with it. In the editing room, Thomas matched the band's recordings to the silent footage he had collected.

MC5★ A True Testimonial made its premiere on August 22, 2002, at the Chicago Underground Film Festival.

Three weeks later it made its international premiere on September 11 at the Toronto International Film Festival. In November of that year, the film was awarded an Honorable Mention as a debut feature at the Raindance Film Festival.

The New York Times described the film as riveting. The Boston Globe said it was everything a rockumentary should be and usually isn't, and The Washington Post called it one of the best movies of the summer. Wayne Kramer, the MC5's guitarist, said it was a wonderful film and John Sinclair, the band's one-time manager, said Thomas had done a fine job.

In 2007, Time Out London ranked it #48 on a list of the 50 Greatest Music Films Ever.

In April 2004, Kramer sued Legler and Thomas. In his suit, Kramer alleged that Legler and Thomas had promised he would be the film's music producer, an assertion the film-makers denied. With the lawsuit, distribution of MC5☆:
In March 2007, the court ruled in favor of Legler and Thomas and the Court of Appeals upheld the decision on appeal. Nevertheless, MC5☆:

R.I.P.† Fred, Rob & Michael. With Love & Rage ☆

    Director: David C. Thomas
Writers: Laurel Legler, David C. Thomas

The 30 Greatest Psychedelic Rock Songs

Lets take a trip back to the mid 1960s. Psychedelic music is a style of rock that was inspired by psychedelic culture. Artists like The Beatles and The Byrds pioneered the genre in the mid 1960s.

    Johny's in the basement
    Mixing up the medicine
    I'm on the pavement
    Thinking about the government
The man in a trench coat
    Badge out, laid off
Says he's got a bad cough
Wants to get it paid off
    Look out kid
    It's somethin' you did
    God knows when
    But you're doin' it again
You better duck down the alley way
    Lookin' for a new friend
    A man in a coon-skin cap
    In a pig pen
    Wants eleven dollar bills
    You only got ten.

Bob Dylan is a rare artist that has managed to transcend genre to become a universally praised songwriter, performer and musician of the 20th- and 21st-centuries. Starting out as a chronicler of social issues in the 1960s, Dylan has had true staying power with thirty-two studio albums released in 53 years - the most recent of which is 2015's critically acclaimed Shadows in the Night.

Although her star has faded a little in recent years, Katy Perry remains one of the biggest and most bankable popstars of all time, having sold more than 40 million albums and 100 million records over her ten year career. With hits ranging from debut single 'I Kissed A Girl' to 'Teenage Dream' and 'Chained to the Rhythm', Perry has until recently been a fixture of the charts, with every single she releases becoming not just a hit but an entire cultural happening.

But with so many hits it seems impossible to avoid comparison with other artists, and Katy has had a handful of songs which have been noted for their striking similarities to other artist's tracks. Some of these tracks have just a passing resemblance, but others - #3, particularly - are almost note for note identical copies of other songs, and the public has definitely noticed. In this list, we'll be looking at five of the most obvious comparisons, as well as the original artist's reactions - and not all of them are pretty. Watch today's video to find out more!

Is Andrew Lloyd Webber a Plagiarist?

I look at some pieces that sound very similar to ones already composed. It is quite a controversy because the Dutch composer Louis Andriessen had some harsh words: There are two sorts of stealing (in music) - taking something and doing nothing with it, or going to work on what you've stolen. The first is plagiarism. Andrew Lloyd Webber has yet to think up a single note; in fact, the poor guy's never invented one note by himself. That's rather poor
Furthermore, Kit and the Widow wrote a humorous tune called Somebody Else making fun of Lloyd Webber's originality.
