  • Cat Stevens - Lady DArbanville

    3:39

    Lyrics:
    My Lady d'Arbanville,
why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow
and you will be my fill,
yes you will be my fill.

    My Lady d'Arbanville,
why does it grieve me so?
But your heart seems so silent.
Why do you breathe so low,
why do you breathe so low?

    My Lady d'Arbanville,
why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow,
and you will be my fill,
yes you will be my fill.

    My Lady d'Arbanville,
    you look so cold tonight.
    Your lips feel like winter,
your skin has turned to white,
your skin has turned to white.

    My Lady d'Arbanville,
why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow
and you will be my fill,
yes you will be my fill.

La la la la la la...

    My Lady d'Arbanville,
why does it grieve me so?
But your heart seems so silent.
Why do you breathe so low,
why do you breathe so low?

    I loved you my lady,
though in your grave you lie,
    I'll always be with you
    This rose will never die,
    this rose will never die.

    This rose will never die,
    this rose will never die.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face is a 1957 folk song written by Ewan MacColl for his wife Peggy Seeger. Fan Comments ~

At your concert last night - what a night!!! Your voice resonated thru the ceiling uplifting our spirits and our hearts .You were amazing your voice better than ever. Your obvious delight in the audiences response was humbling. The best concert ever!!!

I waited more than 30 years to see you perform live and last night it happened. Unbelievable. General consensus is that you're getting even better with age - like a violin! In the 70's and 80's your music was so ubiquitous and overplayed within my circle of friends that we endearingly called the band Supercramp. We knew every word and note. The cassette tapes would wear out in the car and the album covers all tatty. Thanks for all the goosebumps and smiles last night. On a high all day today.

Not one person in the theatre wanted to leave. Everyone, standing up and waving their arms, was asking for one more song. Hodgson's voice, his presence and energy still remain as intact as they were during his earlier years and he gave the best of himself in a superb performance, which was transformed at the peak of the show.

I could say thank you for my entire life, for giving us all the possibility to enjoy your music live, and your concert last Tuesday will be on my heart forever. I truly hope to have the chance to see you live again!! Thank you so much for making us fly and dream with our eyes wide open.

    3:39

    Dedicated to my love

    My heart is complete
    With the love we share,
    And our love grows more
    Beautiful each day.

    I love you,
And as long as we are together,
    I have everything I need.

    Lyrics:

Thanks for the times that you've given me
The memories are all in my mind
And now that we've come to the end of our rainbow
There's something i must say out loud

You're once, twice, three times a lady
    And I love you...
Yes, you're once, twice, three times a lady
And I love you... I love you...

When we are together the moments I cherish
With every beat of my heart
To touch you, to hold you
To feel you, to need you
There's nothing to keep us apart

You're once, twice, three times a lady
And I love you... I love you...

  • Peter Paul & Mary - Puff The Magic Dragon

    3:28

    Puff The Magic Dragon
    Peter Paul & Mary

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.
Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff
and brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff.
    Oh

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on puffs gigantic tail.
Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came.
Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name. oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys.
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, Jackie paper came no more
and puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain.
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave.
So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. Oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.
Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee.

  • Grateful Dead - Friend of The Devil

    3:24

    Garcia,Dawson,Hunter

    Lyrics:
I lit out from reno, I was trailed by twenty hounds
Didnt get to sleep last night till the morning came around.

Set out runnin but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

Ran into the devil, babe, he loaned me twenty bills
I spent the night in utah in a cave up in the hills.

Set out runnin but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine,
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

I ran down to the levee but the devil caught me there
He took my twenty dollar bill and vanished in the air.

Set out runnin but I take my time
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

Got two reasons why I cry away each lonely night,
The first ones named sweet anne marie, and shes my hearts delight.
The second one is prison, babe, the sheriffs on my trail,
And if he catches up with me, Ill spend my life in jail.

Got a wife in chino, babe, and one in cherokee
The first one says shes got my child, but it dont look like me.

Set out runnin but I take my time,
A friend of the devil is a friend of mine,
If I get home before daylight, I just might get some sleep tonight.

  • RIKKI DONT LOSE THAT NUMBER by Steely Dan

    4:16

'Rikki Don't Lose That Number' was off Pretzel Logic, and appears to be a favourite of Steely Dan fans. It was released in 1974.

It's intro is a nod to 'Song For My Father' by Horace Silver. Donald Fagen said in a 2011 interview when asked about the intro 'There was never a conscious thought about picking up Horace Silver's intro. We wrote this Brazilian bass line and when drummer Jim Gordon heard it, he played his figures. As for the piano line, I think I had heard it on an old Sergio Mendes album. Maybe that where Horace heard it, too [laughs]'.

Several musicians outside the band help out on the track. Michael Omartian plays keyboard, Dean Parks acoustic guitar, Jim Gordon drums, Victor Feldman percussion, and Timothy Schmit along with Fagen on backing vocals. I have done a slideshow video featuring most of these guest musos, as well as the usual Dan suspects, Donald Fagen (vocals), Walter Becker (bass) and Jeff Baxter (guitar, solo) .Denny Dias was not on the track.

This list of musos for this track is taken from the liner notes on 'A Decade of Steely Dan' compilation CD and a book I have on Steely Dan entitled 'Reelin in the Years' by Brian Sweet. According to Sweet, Jeff Baxter played the solo without an amplifier, just plugged directly into the board. Apparently the solo had to be done several times because of a 'blip' appearing on the tape. After sending the tape to the manufacturer 3M for analysis, it was found to have some little lumps which turned out to be mustard from a workman's sandwich!

Sweet also stated that the song was based on a student named Rikki from Bard College who had made an impression on Becker and Fagen, (although they were not known for giving straight answers when explaining their songs, so who knows?).

I tried to include images of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen album covers. I also obtained an add on to Windows Movie Maker, which gives a few more panning and zoom options. This is the first video using those.

(Update: as of 11 June 2012, this video is the most popular of the 90 music videos I have up on my channel with 502,904 hits). Further update as of 4 Sept 2017, it now has 4.180,112 hits. Also sadly, I have just found out that co founder and composer Walter Becker has just passed. RIP.

    Comments are invited.

John Lennon in Imagine! with Lyrics!
    Lyrics:

    Imagine there's no heaven
    It's easy if you try
    No hell below us
    Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

    Imagine there's no countries
    It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

    You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions
    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

  • Cat Stevens- Tuesdays Dead with

    3:38

Great song sung by cat stevens/yousef islam ( LYRICS) If I make a mark in time, I can't say the mark is mine.
I'm only the underline of the Word.
Yes, I'm like him, just like you, I can't tell you what to do.
Like everybody else I'm searching thru what I've heard.

    Chorus:
Whoa, Where do you go? When you don't want no one to know?
    Who told tomorrow Tuesday's dead

Oh preacher won't you paint my dream, won't you show me where you've been
Show me what I haven't seen to ease my mind.
Cause I will learn to understand, if I have a helping hand.
I wouldn't make another demand all my life.

    Chorus:
Whoa, Where do you go? When you don't want no one to know?
    Who told tomorrow Tuesday's dead

What's my sex, what's my name, all in all it's all the same.
Everybody plays a different game, that is all.
Now, man may live, man may die searching for the question why.
But if he tries to rule the sky he must fall.

    Chorus:
Whoa, Where do you go? When you don't want no one to know?
    Who told tomorrow Tuesday's dead

Now every second on the nose, the humdrum of the city grows.
reaching out beyond the throes of our time.
We must try to shake it down. Do our best to break the ground.
Try to turn the world around one more time.
Yeah, we must try to shake it down do our best to break the ground
Try to turn the world around one more time

    Chorus:
Whoa, Where do you go? When you don't want no one to know?
    Who told tomorrow Tuesday's dead

    April, come she will
When streams are ripe and swelled with rain
    May, she will stay
    Resting in my arms again

    June, she’ll change her tune
In restless walks, she’ll prowl the night
    July, she will fly
And give no warning to her flight

    August, die she must
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold
    September, I’ll remember
A love once new has now grown old

    4:18

Magic happens when Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, sings. Roger says he didn't set out to write hit songs; the songs came from his heart and soul. The songs just flowed out of him. That is why Roger's songs are so meaningful to us. They come from deep in his heart. When Roger performs this song in concert, people in the audience have tears streaming down their faces. He touches people so very deeply. Just Roger and his guitar. Roger is on his hugely successful worldwide Tour. Audiences are once again experiencing the magic & spirit that Roger Hodgson created with Supertramp - see tour dates below or visit or

Even in the Quietest Moments was written during a very powerful time of Spiritual searching and discovery for me. I used to spend time alone in nature, camping, and one night while playing my guitar and looking up at the stars, the song came to me; it just flowed out of me. It's a love song to God but it could also be to a woman. I've left it ambiguous so that people can take it how they wish. Basically, it's just about a guy who's searching. I'm a seeker. I think I'll always be a seeker. ~Roger Hodgson

To this day, many of Roger's songs are often referred to as Supertramp songs, though Roger wrote and composed alone. In fact, many of Roger's songs he wrote before he co-founded Supertramp and many of them have become the soundtrack of our lives, such as Give a Little Bit, Dreamer, The Logical Song, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, School, It's Raining Again, Fool's Overture and many more.

Roger's concert performance captivates and enthralls, granting a moment in time to leave all troubles behind and immerse yourself in a night full of riveting music. He performs a great majority of his classics as well as fantastic material from his several solo albums.

    LYRICS :

Your music and more importantly, your enthusiasm for expressing your music to the audience is inspiring! I felt you sang each and every song with a passion..not just empty or bland repetition of sameness! Thank for a wonderful evening!

I'm a long time fan, not only of Supertramp but of Roger Hodgson as a solo artist. You're truly an artist extraordinaire and above that a true gentleman, your ability to touch the audience not only through your music but also your kindred spirit is unsurpassed by any.

    Lyrics:

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I'm standing here outside your door,
I hate to wake you up to say good-bye.
But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn, the taxi's waiting He's blowing his horn.
Already I'm so lonesome I could die.
So kiss me and smile for me, tell me that you'll wait for me, hold me like you'll never let me go.
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again. Oh, babe, I hate to go.

There's so many times I've let you down, so many times I've played around,
I tell you now they don't mean a thing.
Every place I go I'll think of you, every song I sing I'll sing for you,
when I come back, I'll bring your wedding ring.
So kiss me and smile for me, tell me that you'll wait for me, hold me like you'll never let me go.

    Lyrics:

He was born in the summer of his 27th year, coming home to a place he'd never been before.
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again,
you might say he found a key for every door.
When he first came to the mountains, his life was far away on the road and hanging by a song.
But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care,
it keeps changing fast, and it don't last for long.

And the Colorado Rocky Mountain high, I've seen it raining fire in the sky.
The shadows from the starlight are softer than a lullaby.
Rocky Mountain high, Colorado. Rocky Mountain high.

    4:32

Joni Mitchell wrote the song from what she had heard from then-boyfriend, Graham Nash, about the festival. She had not been there herself, since she had instead chosen to appear on The Tonight Show. She wrote this song crying at home watching the show on television.

The song later went on to be hits for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Matthews' Southern Comfort, the latter reaching #1 on the UK singles chart for three weeks in October 1970. David Crosby in an interview said that Mitchell had captured the feeling and importance of the Woodstock festival better than anyone who had been there.

Led Zeppelin incorporated Woodstock's lyrics and structure into live renditions of their song Dazed and Confused between 1973 and 1975.

    Non farlo notare

Se sta diventando più difficile affrontare ogni giorno,
non farlo notare, non farlo notare.
Anche se è più difficile accettare ciò che dicono,
    lascia andare, lascia andare.

Song For A Winter's Night, ©1975 by Gordon Lightfoot

The lamp is burning low upon my table top
    The snow is softly falling
The air is still in the silence of my room
I hear your voice softly calling
If I could only have you near
To breathe a sigh or two
I would be happy just to hold the hands I love
On this winter night with you

The smoke is rising in the shadows overhead
    My glass is almost empty
I read again between the lines upon each page
The words of love you sent me
If I could know within my heart, that you were lonely too
I would be happy just to hold the hands I love
On this winter night with you

The fire is dying now, my lamp is growing dim
The shades of night are lifting
The morning light steals across my windowpane
Where webs of snow are drifting
If I could only have you near, to breathe a sigh or two
I would be happy just to hold the hands I love
And to be once again with you
On this winter night with you

I came upon a child of God
He was walking along the road
And I asked him, where are you going?
    And this he told me:
I'm going on down to Yasgur's farm
I'm going to join in a rock 'n' roll band
I'm going to camp out on the land
I'm going to try an' get my soul free.

    We are stardust
    We are golden
And we've got to get ourselves
    Back to the garden

Then can I walk beside you?
I have come here to lose the smog
And I feel to be a cog in something turning
Well maybe it is just the time of year
Or maybe it's the time of man
    I don't know who I am
But you know life is for learning.

    We are stardust
    We are golden
And we've got to get ourselves
    Back to the garden

By the time we got to Woodstock
We were half a million strong
And everywhere there was song and celebration
And I dreamed I saw the bombers
    Riding shotgun in the sky
And they were turning into butterflies
    Above our nation

    We are stardust
    Billion year old carbon
    We are golden
    Caught in the devil's bargain
And we've got to get ourselves
    back to the garden

Let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together
I've got some real estate here in my bag
So we bought a pack of cigarettes and Mrs. Wagner pies
And walked off to look for America

Kathy, I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
Michigan seems like a dream to me now
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I've gone to look for America

    Laughing on the bus
    Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy
I said Be careful his bowtie is really a camera

Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat
We smoked the last one an hour ago
So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine
And the moon rose over an open field

Kathy, I'm lost, I said, though I knew she was sleeping
I'm empty and aching and I don't know why

They've all come to look for America
All come to look for America
All come to look for America

I loved you in the morning, our kisses deep and warm
Your hair upon the pillow like a sleepy golden storm
Yes, many loved before us, I know that we are not new
In city and in forest they smiled like me and you
But now it's come to distances and both of us must try
Your eyes are soft with sorrow
Hey, that's no way to say goodbye

I'm not looking for another as I wander in my time
Walk me to the corner, our steps will always rhyme
You know my love goes with you as your love stays with me
It's just the way it changes, like the shoreline and the sea

  • Say It Aint So Joe - Murray Head - original song

    4:57

    READ THE INFO BELOW !
The orginal version of 'Say It Ain't So Joe' by Murray Head.
Other well known versions are by Gary Brooker and Roger Daltrey.

    The story behind the song:
    ACCORDING TO MURRAY HEAD:
Say It Ain't So Joe was provoked by a seventies documentary on Richard Nixon prior to his resignation.
The presenter was asking the editor of a small town newspaper outside Washington, how, in the face of conclusive evidence and proof, his readers could still show such undying support for the president they elected.
The editor likens the situation to a scandal in the twenties, when Joe Jackson, the famous baseball player, was rumored to have taken a bribe to sink his team in the final of the World series.
His fans hung around the stadium chanting Say it ain't so Joe

The song is about heroes and their Clay feet'. It is also a plea from myself to the kind of 'Joe Public' who in fear of losing face, refuse to relinquish their faith in a fallen idol.

    SOURCE:

    EXTRA:
Shoeless Joe Jackson was one of the best ballplayers of all time. He played in the 1919 World Series for the Chicago White Sox and had 12 hits and a .375 batting average. The 12 hits was a World Series record.

Still, when a number of White Sox players were indicted for throwing the series to the Cincinnati Reds in what became known as the Black Sox Scandal, Joe Jackson was one of them. Even though he was acquitted by the jury, the new commissioner for baseball, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, banned him for life.

When Jackson was arraigned in a Chicago courthouse, the story says that when he came out, a young fan came up to him with tears in his eyes and said, Say it ain't so, Joe. Joe evidently acknowledged to his young hero worshipper that it was so, though in later years Jackson denied the entire incident.

    LYRICS:
Say it ain't so, Joe, please, say it ain't so
That's not what I wanna hear, Joe and I got the right to know
Say it ain't so, Joe, please, say it ain't so
I'm sure they're telling us lies, Joe,
Please, tell us it ain't so

They told us that our hero has played his trump card
He doesn't know how to go on
We're clinging to his charm and determined smile
But the good old days have gone

The image and the empire may be falling apart
    The money has gotten scarce
One man's word held the country together
But the truth is getting fierce

Say it ain't so, Joe, please, say it ain't so
We've pinned our hopes on you, Joe and they're ruining our show

Ooh babies, don't you think we're gonna get burned
    we're gonna get turned
    we're gonna get learned

Say it ain't so, Joe, please, say it ain't so
That's not what I wanna hear, Joe and I got the right to know
Say it ain't so, Joe, please, say it ain't so
I'm sure, they're telling us lies, Joe,

Oh and you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet
Oh Id still be on my feet

Oh I am a lonely painter
I live in a box of paints
    Im frightened by the devil
And Im drawn to those ones that aint afraid
I remember that time that you told me, you said
    Love is touching souls
    Surely you touched mine
Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time

Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
And you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
And still be on my feet

    I met a woman
She had a mouth like yours
    She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
    And she said
Color go to him, stay with him if you can
Oh but be prepared to bleed
Oh but you are in my blood youre my holy wine
Oh and you taste so bitter, bitter and so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
Id still be on my feet

    4:32

A perfect song, for lovers out there...

You know I need your love,
You got that hold over me
Long as I got your love,
You know that I'll never leave
When I wanted you to share my life,
I had no doubt in my mind
    And it's been you,
    woman,
    right down the line
I know how much I lean on you,
    Only you can see
    Changes that I've been through,
Have left their mark on me
You've been as constant as the northern star,
    The brightest light that shines
    It's been you,
    woman,
    right down the line
I just wanna say this is my way
    Of telling you everything,
    I could never say before
    Yeah this is my way
    of telling you that everyday,
I'm loving you so much more
    Cause you believed in me
    through my darkest night
Put something better inside of me,
You brought me into the light
Threw away all those crazy dreams, I put them all behind
    And it was you,
    woman,
    right down the line
    I just wanna say
    this is my way
    Of telling you everything,
    I could never say before
    Yeah this is my way
    of telling you that everyday,
I'm loving you so much more
    If I should doubt myself,
    If I'm losing ground
I wont turn to someone else,
    They'd only let me down
When I wanted you to share my life, I had no doubt in my mind
    And it's been you,
    woman,
    right down the line

Yusuf / Cat Stevens – World United Music

    Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens)

    BIO:
Yusuf Islam (born Steven Demetre Georgiou, 21 July 1948), commonly known by his former stage name Cat Stevens, is a British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, humanitarian, and education philanthropist. His 1967 debut album reached the top 10 in the UK, and the album's title song Matthew and Son charted at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. His albums Tea for the Tillerman (1970) and Teaser and the Firecat (1971) were both certified triple platinum in the US by the RIAA.

His 1972 album Catch Bull at Four spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, and fifteen weeks at number one in the Australian ARIA Charts. He earned two ASCAP songwriting awards in 2005 and 2006 for The First Cut Is the Deepest, and the song has been a hit for four different artists. His other hit songs include Father and Son, Wild World, Peace Train, Moonshadow, and Morning Has Broken. In 2007 he received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection.

In December 1977, Stevens converted to Islam and adopted the name Yusuf Islam the following year. In 1979, he auctioned all his guitars for charity and left his music career to devote himself to educational and philanthropic causes in the Muslim community. He was embroiled in a long-running controversy regarding comments he made in 1989 about the death fatwa on author Salman Rushdie. He has received two honorary doctorates and awards for promoting peace from two organisations founded by Mikhail Gorbachev.

In 2006, he returned to pop music – releasing his first album of new pop songs in 28 years, titled “An Other Cup”. With that release and for subsequent ones, he dropped the surname Islam from the album cover art – using the stage name Yusuf as a mononym. In 2009, he released the album “Roadsinger”, and in 2014, he released the album “Tell 'Em I'm Gone”, and began his first US tour since 1978. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?
I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’
I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’
I saw a white ladder all covered with water
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken
I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children
    And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
    And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

    Lyrics:
    Come gather 'round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
    If your time to you
    Is worth savin'
    Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.
    Come writers and critics
    Who prophesize with your pen
    And keep your eyes wide
    The chance won't come again
    And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
    And there's no tellin' who
    That it's namin'.
    For the loser now
    Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.
    Come senators, congressmen
    Please heed the call
    Don't stand in the doorway
    Don't block up the hall
    For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
    There's a battle outside
    And it is ragin'.
    It'll soon shake your windows
    And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
    Come mothers and fathers
    Throughout the land
    And don't criticize
    What you can't understand
    Your sons and your daughters
    Are beyond your command
    Your old road is
    Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.
    The line it is drawn
    The curse it is cast
    The slow one now
    Will later be fast
    As the present now
    Will later be past
    The order is
    Rapidly fadin'.
    And the first one now
    Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Lyrics:

Suzanne takes you down to her place near the river
You can hear the boats go by
You can spend the night beside her
And you know that she's half crazy
But that's why you want to be there
And she feeds you tea and oranges
That come all the way from China
And just when you mean to tell her
That you have no love to give her
Then she gets you on her wavelength
And she lets the river answer
That you've always been her lover

And you want to travel with her
And you want to travel blind
And you know that she will trust you
For you've touched her perfect body with your mind

    And Jesus was a sailor
When he walked upon the water
And he spent a long time watching
    From his lonely wooden tower
And when he knew for certain
Only drowning men could see him
He said All men will be sailors then
Until the sea shall free them
    But he himself was broken
Long before the sky would open
    Forsaken, almost human
He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone

And you want to travel with him
And you want to travel blind
And you think maybe you'll trust him
For he's touched your perfect body with his mind

    Now Suzanne takes your hand
And she leads you to the river
She is wearing rags and feathers
    From Salvation Army counters
And the sun pours down like honey
On Our Lady of the Harbour
And she shows you where to look
Among the garbage and the flowers
There are heroes in the seaweed
There are children in the morning
They are leaning out for love
And they will lean that way forever
    While Suzanne holds the mirror

And you want to travel with her
And you want to travel blind
And you know you can trust her
For she's touched your perfect body with her mind

  • Simon & Garfunkel - Cecilia

    2:55

Cecilia is a song written by US musician Paul Simon. It was first recorded by Simon and Garfunkel for their 1970 album Bridge Over Troubled Water. When released as a single, it reached #4 in the US charts. The single did not chart in the UK, despite being released as the follow-up to Simon and Garfunkel's number one hit Bridge Over Troubled Water.

The Cecilia of the title is generally interpreted as being a capricious lover, causing both anguish and jubilation to the singer. However, another interpretation[1] is that Cecilia might refer to St. Cecilia, patron saint of music in the Catholic tradition, and thus the song might refer to the frustration of fleeting inspiration in songwriting. St. Cecilia is mentioned in another Paul Simon song, The Coast (from his 1990 album The Rhythm of the Saints): A family of musicians took shelter for the night in the little harbor church of St. Cecilia.

The song's recording is also quite funny. The Song's foundation was a percussion track in the house Paul was renting on Blue Jay Way in LA. Paul and Art slapped their thights, Eddie Simon thumped a piano bench and a friend strummed a guitar with its strings slackened to the point of atonailty. Roy Halee did the rest.

  • Cat Stevens-Lady Darbanville lyrics

    3:48

I dont own anything i just uploaded.here is the full lyrics text:
My Lady d'Arbanville, why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow
and you will be my fill, yes, you will be my fill.

My Lady d'Arbanville why does it grieve me so?
But your heart seems so silent.
Why do you breathe so low, why do you breathe so low,

My Lady d'Arbanville why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow
and you will be my fill, yes, you will be my fill.

My Lady d'Arbanville, you look so cold tonight.
    Your lips feel like winter,
your skin has turned to white, your skin has turned to white.

My Lady d'Arbanville, why do you sleep so still?
    I'll wake you tomorrow
and you will be my fill, yes, you will be my fill.

    La la la la la....

My Lady d'Arbanville why do you grieve me so?
But your heart seems so silent.
Why do you breathe so low, why do you breathe so low,

I loved you my lady, though in your grave you lie,
    I'll always be with you
This rose will never die, this rose will never die.

I loved you my lady, though in your grave you lie,
    I'll always be with you

    Lyrics:
Sometimes late when things are real and people share the gift of gab between themselves
Some are quick to take the bait and catch the perfect prize that waits among the shelves

But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And Cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad
    So please believe in me

When I say I'm spinning round, round, round, round

Image going down, down, down, down
